Could someone please advise the kitchen situation in the studios at the Polynesian? I realize it wouldn't be the same as a one or two bedroom, I would just like to know what will be there for me to use. Thank you so much for your response. Pictures would be much appreciated, we are staying in a Lake view for a week in June and I would love to see what the rooms look like....and any other information that anyone thinks would be helpful to me. Thanks again!

The studio kitchenettes are basically a wet bar. Microwave oven, small fridge, toaster, coffee maker, paper plates/bowls & plastic utensils.

PVB studio kitchenette should be very similar to the studio kitchenettes at all other resorts.

That is perfect information Michael. Thank you so much for your quick response!

Do the fridges in the Poly studios have the little freezers? The last few resorts we have stayed at did not have freezers in the fridges.

there is a ton of info on numerous sites if you google it. On the main page on this site is a start

As others have said, the kitchenettes in the Polynesian Studios have the very same inclusions as other DVC resort Studios. But those rooms are bigger than most! :-D

No freezer!!! I was so frustrated that there was no freezer - no place to keep my Mickey ice cream bar >:(

Here you go....

The studio kitchenette is very similar to the OKW kitchenette. Not as big as BCV, BWV, VWL, etc.

The amenities list appears to be for the 1 & 2 & 3 bedroom villas. For the studios, it's pretty much what you actually see in the pictures.

I think they put the same list in all the villas - and that list really doesn't apply to studios.

They have asterisks by the items that are not in the studios. Good to point out though because it's easy to miss. Interesting though no vacuum cleaner for the studios at Poly. I think all other resorts have that? But then Poly studios also did not get DVD/Blue Ray players in each room either. DVC got a little cheap here it seems.

I have to admit the lack of vacuum doesn't bother me, you can always call housekeeping for an accidental spill. Or ask for a vacuum for the room. But it's hard to rent a movie from the community center/front desk unless you have a player. But then how many families are streaming versus using CDs these days?

If something is missing, make sure to check the top shelf. It is high enough that many people can't see in there. We found duplicates of items in that area.

When I stayed in January at AKL my studio mini-fridge didn't have a freezer. I bring a lot of my own food due to religious requirements, and could use the freezer. I contacted DVC member services, and while I was still there got a phone call at home regarding the missing freezers. The lady left a message stating that the DVC members have requested the units have no freezer section so as to have more room in the refrigerator!

If they're fulfilling member requests that must mean we have discounted tickets coming soon. ;)
