Polynesian Review - August 25th - 27th **with Pictures**

Thanks for the great pics and report! What a nice room!

I agree with Tikiman ~ Spring Break in Poly concierge for us in '07. Just call me crazy!

Glad to hear a positive report on the Poly - which is our favorite resort. We don't stay there every trip because we love the Swan & Dolphin (love those great rates! and the location), we love the YC and BC too! And, if money is tight, we will stay at a moderate. I too would NEVER pay over $300 a night for any hotel, Disney or not. One exception: Hawaii.
We've stayed at the Poly twice and once we got a rate of $199 and the next time $229. Plus tax of course. I will say that I'm sad to admit that with the discounts being less than they use to be, we won't be stayiing there as often. But to those who can afford it every single time, more power to ya! We're going in November for 8 nights, staying at CSR. Then we're back to the Poly next May. It's all about where you like to spend your $$$$$.

I'm glad you all had a wonderful Poly stay, but I have to say that this is one of the goofiest (if not obscene) towel animals! :rotfl:

(sorry, my mind is in the gutter this morning!)

The Poly is my favorite!!! Will be there in November!! So excited. Glad you had a good time!!

this is the one place i would love to stay at. my husbands dream is the akl. i keep telling him when we hit the lottery we will try both............hahah

Glad to hear you had such a great time! The pictures are beautiful...I love the new decor of the rooms.

We were in room 1321 Fiji in August....1st floor, similar view...we loved it also. We paid rack rate  but on the "free" DDP....so while we did not have an economical trip, we were finally able to try the Polynesian thanks to the promotion...it was wonderful. While I thought Samoa would be the best choice for us, I was much happier with Fiji once there in person and observing the resort. Your photos are lovely and hope your Dad enjoyed his birthday!

I keep hearing the mixed reviews about the poly in particular to the CM service, check in and room readiness...:confused3

Interested in hearing some recent trip remarks. I'm planning on going with my diz family of 6 (DH and 4 diz kids ranging in age from 2 9 year olds, a 5 1/2 and a 1 1/2.

We are choosing this becuase of our family size, proximity to MK and Epcot with the monorail, for kids' adventures at the GF, and character bfasts at the 3 monorail resorts.

It is quite a hefty price (since we're going in June 08) so I'm truly hoping this is worth it. We have traveled in 05 with our kids and 3 times previously alone (not including us as kids) and all have been on property. We've never encountered any problems, excelent service all around and just wonderful stays.

Looking for any tips from those who have experienced it.

Thanks.:thumbsup2

Happy to hear you had a great time! We are going to stay there in December and I can't wait. We booked concierge because we got a great discount. I am counting the months!:cool1: :thumbsup2

And price is a realtive thing!

Keep in mind this thread is from 8/06!!!:lmao:
