Polynesian resort question

We have had an interest in the Polynesian resort for some time, I have heard that it is under construction or will be in January when we want to visit. How much of a distraction is it or inconvenience?

The bulk of the construction is done. The DVC and bungalows are open, the Great Ceremonial House is finished and open (months now), the main pool and main beach are open (again months). Only the quiet pool remains and should be of minimal impact. If you ask for a room away from it you should experience barely notice it. It's really back to its beautiful self.
