Polynesian resort - 12/12 to 12/18

I am officially under 29 days (YES I AM counting the day before we leave when we go to the hotel near the airport and WHAT OF IT!!!! ) so I decided to post and see who will be joining us for our first ever trip to WALT DISNEY WORLD!!!

I know I am shouting. I cannot control this anymore. I am officially psyched!

But it is close, we are nearing the critical zone and I would like to know who will be joining us in our quest. We arrive MCO 12:35 pm December 12, 2002 and, Lord willing, the Tiffany driver will deposit us at the front door of the Polynesian resort by 2pm. We are staying GV concierge until 12/18 and then move to the WL for our last night. So, who's coming with?

We will not be at the Poly until January 21, but I wanted to wish you a magical time. We are also staying in a GV Concierge room, so I would love to get a report from you.

Congratulations on your first trip to WDW

We have a little more time to wait but I'm getting very excited as well. I too look forward to your report when you return. We are staying at the Poly Concierge LV for the first time. I can't think of a better way for us to ring in the new year or celebrate our anniversary. Have a wonderful trip.

ME! ME! We are leaving on the 13th - can't leave on the 12th, since my two middle schoolers have their band concert that night, but we are out of here at 4 am on the 13th!

We won't be at the Poly, but we will be close by at the Contemporary until Monday, the 16th, then it's off to AKL Concierge! We are doing MVMCP on the 15th - how about you?

I'll have my Lime Green ribbon on my pack!

I enjoyed reading your planning story. You will love the Poly! It is our favorite resort and so peaceful and relaxing. The pool is great and the kids will love playing in the sand while they watch the fireworks. Did you consider having breakfast at the castle with the princesses? My 2 dd's loved it when we went last year(they were 2 1/2 and 9 at the time). You could ask the concierge staff to help get a ps if your interested. Have a great time. Don't forget lots of film and a video camera. You'll never want to forget the looks on your dds faces as they see everything for the first time.

We will be at the Poly the first few days you are there. We arrive in Orlando at 11:20 pm on 12/12 and hope to be checking in before 1:00 am. We are staying for 3 nights, coming to go the MVMCP for the first time on the 13th. It will be me, DH, and two DDs age 8 and 14 and another 14 year old girl. We are staying LV concierge. I will be looking for your lime green ribbons! Have a great vacation.

We're arriving on the 7th, but leaving on the 10th to spend 3 days at the YC! I'm taking my DH, and 3 kids--DDs aged 11 and 8 and DS aged 3. He's a holy terror. Your children sound charming!

I'll keep my eyes peeled for you! We'll get all those characters warmed up for your kids, and leave you a spot at the front of the monorail!

DarthGoofy: Sorry to miss you all but have fun when you go. BTW, I keep that verse there to remind me of ultimate truth. No God, no life.

CRCrazy: No MVMCP cause I don't want to push the 2yo. BUT we may see you at the Contemporary on the 13th cause we're eating with Mickey and friends. (Maybe. I keep wondering if I should do 'Ohana for our first breakfast.)

wdwnutze: We are scheduled for brunch in Norway with the princesses on the 16th, but I have asked the concierge to try to get CRT for any time we are there. See, the whole princess thing is a surprise for MY princesses, but then my oldest dd (10) says the following: "Hey Mom! Did you know that you can get a tour of the castle? Or, maybe just go in it. No, it says here....oh COOL! You can actually eat in the castle!!! With CINDERELLA! Wow, that would be the BEST part of the whoel trip!!!!"

Well, of course, I had purposefully decided to avoid the whole CRT thing. I mean, these kids are pretty blase' about the trip anyway. (they have NO idea how cool this will be) Now, she hits me with this late last week. Yikes.

Angel1: Since you will be there CLOSE to our arrival I will speak to you. We'll let the monorail CM know that seat is for us!!

You're right.....I am a nut job but with no other time to go. My oldest DH is in all advanced placement cources in high school and we can no longer take her out of school. DH would not like the summer in Florida...too hot. Next year we may try over Thanksgiving with extra days added on. We'll see how it goes. This trip is more for staying at the resorts and doing non-park activites. We're hoping that will help. Ofcourse we do have CP, Illuminations Cruise, CRT and our anniversary to keep up busy Take care and say hi to Mickey for us

I have CRT ressies for our family of 5 on the 11th. I'd trade you for your Norway ressies if I could. Sorry about that! (you don't want to know how many mornings I had to get up before 7 to secure those babies!)

Your princesses will love either castle!

And I just have to say... public school, public school yay! If I had to have my kids home with me all day I'd commit hari kari!!!

My family and I will be there for our very first trip from the 12th - 19th. I can't wait either!! I am so excited, and so worry on what exactly to pack. I can just see us four arriving at Disney with about 54 suitcases.....

My 2 DD (6 & 9) are so excited. I can't wait to see their excitment as they really don't know what to expect.
