Polynesian Questions - Advise And Tips Needed?

We have booked a GV room early Oct. I have requested Samoa to be close to one or the other pool! My ds6 will want to spend plenty of time in it! But, with the renovations in Oct. I am wondering if this will be a good location??? Any Poly experts out there want to give some advise??? Also any good tips for our families stay?? Any special activities for kids? Any advise appreciated!!! Thanks in advance! Also, any recent pictures???

Samoa is a great location. We had a GV room in July (room 1618) on the quiet pool side. It was perfect. We spent most of our pool time in the Volcano pool, though. The slide is a blast! Samoa was just recently renovated and very clean. Hawaii was under renovation when we were there. They had a big wall around it. It didn't seem to bother anyone. It didn't bother us. We had a great time, and I'm sure you will as well. It's the Poly!!!

Take the time to walk the grounds (especially at night). See the EWP and fireworks from the beach (WOW!) The resort is absolutly beautiful.

We used the monorail for most of out transpotation, but did take the bus to MGM and DD a couple times. HTH
