We're going back at the end of January and when we were there this past Feb we had a happy coincidence occur. We stayed in the Tokelau longhouse and had a garden view room that faced the quiet pool.

In the mornings our daughter LOVED going out on the deck and watching the ducks and she would watch them from a safe distance on our way out to the parks.

Anyway my question is do the ducks pretty much go to the same places each day or do they move around and does the hotel staff possibly influence their movement? I ask because if we can be reasonably sure they'll be there we'll ask for the same room. If not then we might try another location.

Thanks for any that might know or can talk to their own experiences.

The ducks are wild animals and allowed to do whatever they do. There have only been a very few at the resort this week. Over our 23 years, the number varies considerably from year to year and different time periods. Just be prepared that it might be a light year.

Stayed at Tahiti and they visited throughout they day. The are wild animals that have been trained by previous guests to troll for food. As long as you are on the ground floor they will come to you.

They definitely go wherever there is food. There were multiple ducks and some squirrels that harrassed my kids for breakfast scraps when we stayed there in January. We thought it was cute...the kids, notsomuch.

Thanks for the replies. I figured as much but told DW that I would ask so that we could make the right decision for our room.
