Thanks Steve for another update. It looks like Tahiti will be closed while we are there. I'm hoping for Fiji...might have a shot! with a new room too!

The old table was barely large enough for us to eat on. I do hope they change that. I might have to write the GM! LOL!

They knew people would pick apart the design. Who knows what else may be in the room. Also I have been to many resorts (Westin, Sheraton, Fairmont, W to name a few) and there was no table area at all. When room service was ordered they either put it on the dresser or rolled in a table with the tray on it. I am not saying the table was not nice but there are ways around it.
I love how open the room is now with the futon style day bed that makes more floor space and the table not being there myself. With those changes and getting rid of the big armor and the canopy over the beds the rooms feels twice as big and it was big before.

I've stayed at a Sheraton many times and have always had a table. I don't think I've ever not had a table in a hotel room. Well there was one time at the Drake in NYC and they served the meal on a cart they brought into the room and left it. That was just as nice as a table. Hopefully the Poly will do one or the other as I really don't want to be eating off the dresser any time soon. I love the rest of the room changes but a lack of table will stop us from utilizing room service which we enjoyed quite a bit. Hopefully that won't be the case.
