Hi, Everyone-

Can you only buy Kona coffee in Kona Cafe? Where else on the property can you get this? I love good coffee and I'm hoping we can buy it each morning without having to eat breakfast in the Kona cafe each morning.

Thanks!

If I am not mistaking it is served in the food court as well. Although, I am not positive.

But I do know that they have a coffee bar outside of Kona Cafe by the doors to the monorail that serve Kona coffee and small treats. My husband actually stopped there after drinking a whole pot at Kona Cafe for dinner. He loves that coffee! I ALMOST convinced him to stay at the Poly this December for just that reason. Too bad it didn't work!

YAY, I'm so excited there is a coffee bar. I'm always so disappointed in all the resort's coffee and when I read about Polynesian's Kona coffee, i got soooo excited! Is the food court in the main lobby building? We've never stayed there before, but have visited the resort often for dinners.

Yes the food court (cafeteria) is in the main building on the first floor. They just remodeled it not too long ago. I haven't been since the new one has opened, but I heard it's great. They also serve the Dole Whip's too if you like them as well.:thumbsup2 Sure wish I could stay at the Poly again! We absolutely love it there! Once you stay at the Poly, no other resort will compare!

I'm so glad to hear that! I've always wanted to stay there since I was a little girl and now we are going to do it. I plan to hang out out our hotel more than we ever have on any other past Disney trip to get the most out of it. WHen I showed my kid's the picture of the pool, they literally were squealling~!

Thanks for the info on the coffee!

Oh, and I'm SOOOO Excited to hear about the Dole Whips! :cheer2: That is AWESOME! There is nothing better to eat in the world in my opinion!

Just wanted to let you know that I do not think that Captain Cook's sells Kona coffee. I have only ever been able to get it at the Kona coffee bar or at Kona Cafe.

Have a wonderful stay at the Polynesian! It is my absolute favorite place to stay. Being able to stay there adds so much to my Disney World experience and vacation. I'd happily spend every vacation day there for the rest of my life! :) I can't wait to return in Nov!!

The coffee bar also sells Kona coffee by the pound. My DH bought some on our first night last year and used the coffee maker in our room to make it every morning. Just remember to bring your own coffee filters.

Do you know if the coffee bar is open all hours through the day or does it just have breakfast time hours? Lots of questions just about coffee, but honestly coffee is the only disappoint I ever have on our Disney trips! :sad1:

I think it is only open in the am. It's always open when we head for the monorail and when I walk over for my morning cup of coffee and muffin. I have never seen it open around lunch time or at night.

:coffee:

How much is a cup of the Kona coffee? Are there different sizes?
Another coffee nut here....... staying at the Polynesian in July.
Thanks !

We're at the Poly at the end of August!!!!
It's our first foray outside Wilderness Lodge. I can't wait.
This Kona coffee . . .Hmmmm . . . I'm sure I wouldn't be so lucky as to be able to find it in refillable mugs . . . would I?

Does anyone know if the coffee in the Concierge lounge in Hawaii is Kona coffee or just the regular stuff (whatever that is)? Thanks!

Does anyone know if the in-room coffee makers at the Polynesian are the regular 4-cup kind, or are they those 1-cup-at-a-time kind? :coffee:

Apparently from the picture on allears.net the concierge only has the nescafe. What a bummer.:sad2:

They are 4-cup, but I think it's "mini" cups - like six ounces! Enough to fill the room mugs for two people one and a half times each. I always seem to end up making two pots in the morning.

P.S. Housekeeping will give you extra coffee packets if you ask.

This is from wdwinfo.com...home of the Dis...:rotfl: This was on their resort dining page. Hope this helps! :thumbsup2

Just remember to go buy a gallon of water from the store to make that good Kona! You will be very disapointed if you use that tap water!!

I hate to drop this on everyone, but the only place to get 100% Kona coffee is in the press pots at Kona Cafe. The Kona Island coffee bar in the lobby sells a Kona Blend coffee. You can purchase the 100% Kona beans by the pound at both locations, but if you want it brewed you will have to go to the Kona Cafe. The 24oz. press pot at Kona Cafe is around $7.95.......a 16oz. cup at Kona Island is about $2.95. :surfweb:

Both are delicious, but they are not exactly the same.

:thumbsup2
