How comfortable are the sofa beds and chair beds at OKW?

It’s been years since we’ve stayed there and I think we’ve only stayed in a studio. I just cobbled together two nights in a 2 bedroom, because some of my German cousins will be visiting my mom next month, and one wants to go to WDW.

The chair bed is usually more comfortable than the sofa, even though it is small.

As far as I know, only the Grand Villas at OKW have a combination Mr. Coffee/ Keurig Pod type maker. All the other units have the standard Mr. Coffee type units that take a #4 Funnel shaped filter unless that changed since my trip last June.

There was one in the GV I had for a big friends trip nearly 3 years ago, in bldg 63. We had a GV and a Two Bedroom. The GV had the combo maker, the 2 bedroom did not, and I haven't seen one in all the studio and one bedrooms I've had since then.

They did NOT supply the pods, only the standard coffee packs.

I stayed in a studio and it did not have Keureg. I prefer iced so I got several bottles and flavored creamer. There is ice machine by the bus stop. I just carried a zip lock bag and filled on my way back.

The thread is generally quiet. There aren't usually a lot of changes at OKW. I was there in June, there were some external refurbishments going on to some of the buildings with scaffolding up, so they will probably cycle though the resort. Other than that, no major changes. Enjoy your trip

To add a little bit of activity, we added on OKW last year when the DVC fire sale was happening.

I think it was around $130 or $135 a point. Yes, resale would have and is a lot cheaper, however, we wanted direct as an option to use at newer resorts (VDH, Riveria, Cabins, Lakeshore, etc.).

Looking forward to our first stay here once the kiddos finish up university.

Read an article recently from the board sponsor that pointed out that it's been 7 years since OKW's last refurb, making it due for a soft goods refurb anytime now.

Wonder if there's any possibility of fold down murphy beds for 1,2 and 3 bedrooms with that refurb? Seems unlikely with the window placements in the living room. They could likely do it for the studios, but most seem to like the two real beds vs. a bed and a couch.

HH are the buildings near the check in. You will easily be able to walk to the main pool, dining and general store. It also close to the boat dock for DS. You can also get off the bus at he first or last stop when returning to the resort. The first stop is by building 26.
