Polynesian..... how much $$$ is too much?

A little back history, our trip was scheduled for June 3-7 Poly std view with spring discount booked waaaay back in January. Then I added a night at POR for the 2nd (late arrival). Our older daughter graduates on Saturday June 1, this was to be a surprise trip. I finally told her an she says that she wants to stay in town on the 2nd to see friends that are leaving, doesn't want to leave until the 3rd. I listened but still kept POR (it was paid for). Last week she asks if we can back everything up to POR first night then check out of Poly a say early on the 6th so she can go to the airport the next day with friends leaving for Europe. Fine. then I'm thinking if we check in at Poly on the 2nd we won't have to move everything the next morning, girls can go straight to MK. Only gitch, std view no longer available with discount, AAA for gv (think it's the same now) is around $50 more, TPV is $120 more. I would be tempted to bite the bullet and do TPV if they would just let us stay in the room the entire time. TPV wasn't available when I originally booked, must have opened it up later due to cancellations. Also, if they want us to move, think they would allow me to pay the difference at the discounted rate or at rack to stay?

I'm a little confused by your post, but it sounds like you have 2 Poly reservations:
-Poly TPV for one night - June 2
-Poly standard view - June 3 - 6 or 7

-You don't want to move rooms on June 3, but at the moment the reservations are for 2 different room categories. If you try to upgrade after you arrive at the Poly expect to pay rack rate. They won't let you use the discounted std view rate for the TPV room.

When you booked the Poly std view with a discount in January was the TPV room category also included in the special? If it was, but the offer has expired you can see if it can be applied to the June 3-6 or 7 dates provided there are still rooms available under that offer. When you call the regular CM at CRO won't be able to do it so you'll need to speak with Guest Services or a supervisor.

If you have to change rooms after the first night, it won't be too difficult since you'll be staying at the same resort. Have bell services store your luggage if your room isn't ready. If your new room is ready you'll be able to move your things directly.

It's all handled now by my TA, a separate Room Only with AAA for the first night, June 2, then the rest with the discount for June 3-6. Not worth the hassle to possibly have to change rooms. TPV isn't anything we haven't seen before

Seems like your daughter wants to see friends before the trip and at the end of the trip.

I'd bet she'll want to see them in between,too.
Your intentions are wonderful. But I'd think about changing your dates so everyone can really enjoy the time together.
