I will be at the Poly the last week of August.

Yes, I understand they have renovations/construction going on.

During the last week of August (August 26 - September 2) is there anywhere I can find out what construction projects will be going on?

I am trying to narrow down a spot for a room request and was hoping someone would know what construction projects will be on going at that time.

We are staying at the Poly the second week in August. We received a letter from Disney that the East Pool, would be under construction at that time. It seems that should be the only major interference.

So if I requested a room in Samoa on the west side it should be all good to go there?

Cannot make any promises. Are you following the thread here, that is updating the construction progress, to include pics? That is the best suggestion I can give you.

Also, if for any reason, when you do check in, and are not happy, you can request a different room.

If you get the west side of Samoa you should be good. Big if! Everyone is requesting locations away from East Pool construction.

We are going for a week and have park tickets for 6 days + 1 day at a water park or Disney Quest. Our time at the resort will be short, so construction doesn't really bother me all that much. Plus I've lived in two new neighborhoods under construction for the last 8 years so I am used to it. It will be like home away from home, lol.

I think if the east pool is under construction and I request a west facing room the construction will be on the other side of the building and we will rarely see it anyway.
