The fact that I don’t want to buy a product if it doesn’t meet my needs is no different than you not buying direct because it doesn’t fit your needs.

Exactly! If someone likes PVB and the studios and doesn’t care about getting the tower, then PvB resale is an awesome choice

But, we don’t like PvB..stayed twice and the set up just isn’t for us. But, Poly tower and it’s location? Worth it to own their for that…but not if I risk the chance of not getting rooms when I want without jumping through hoops.

All my points can book there regardless so I have at least 7 month booking rights. If it is not it’s own resort, then I will buy more RIV and take my chances.

And, that is what DVD is faced with. Do they want it to be exclusive and not bookable by cheaper resale points, or do they decide to abandon the restrictions.

Your posts are very anti resale and you carry that to not wanting to buy in a resort that allows us resale folks in.

Interesting that my first sentence that you quote says resale is an awesome choice for those who may not care about the tower..because right now no one knows what will happen.

My choice has nothing to do with resale either. It has to do with it being a new association vs the same one.

If they build Poly tower as new but with no restrictions, meaning PVB owners have 7 month booking rights.. not 11 months whether you have direct or resale points, it is something we will buy.
As I have said many times, I share my views based on personal situations of what is asked. and while I personally wouldn’t buy resale any more because I want unrestricted points, I get why many do.

And, you will find plenty of posts that if someone asks only about resale, my comments answer that.

Don’t worry, there are plenty of posters here who give potential buyers the reasons why resale is the best choice, even when that person says they want to buy direct. Both sides are well represented and everyone can feel good they have the info they need to make the right choice for them.

At this point, I am putting on my moderator hat and warning myself that we do not allow debates and that I need to stay on topic and not engage in arguments.

ETA: And my comment about cheaper resale was regarding DVDs motives..not mine. Meaning that is the current decision they are faced with in deciding which way to go with this new building.
