Stayed a few years ago and was in Aotearoa and loved it. It was quiet and we saw the monorail every few minutes.

I am considering requesting Rarotonga this time because its close to the bus stop and walking into the main building there are no stairs.
We can do stairs but with more stairs does come more of a risk of tripping especially if you have food etc.

But which building would you suggest?
My options are...
-Rarotonga
-Niue
-Samoa
-Aotearoa
-Fiji
-Tuvalu

Seconding Rarotonga, it’s the most centrally located building and imo the best resort view. You are only steps away from pretty much everything there. Niue is the only other real option imo but less desirable if you end up on the second floor.

You do not want Aotearoa, Fiji or Tuvalu because they are on the side of the resort next to the DVC tower construction, and resort view rooms will be looking dead at it. Samoa has not been resort view (formerly standard view) in years, nothing but water view rooms bc both sides look at the pools.

I think once the construction is finished the views are going to look great!

Only the resort view side of Fiji will look directly at the building, and that’s a bit in the distance. I’ve always avoided requesting that side of the resort, but now I’m seriously considering it once everything is finished. :)

It is an option under the Disney online check in room request with the resort view room. That's why I listed it

Also I'm pretty sure that only the monorail facing rooms in Aotearoa are the resort view category so I could not be looking at the Island Tower...

FYI - Disney’s online check in room request options are not tied to your actual resort room or view category. It is often a source of confusion for guests who may not otherwise know, but frequent visitors have grown accustomed to all but ignoring the options at many resorts. I would strongly recommend calling in a longhouse request vs relying on the online check in options.

Also there are a decent number of Resort View rooms in Aoteraoa, Fiji, and Tuvalu that face the new Tower / new pool that will be a nice view once everything is done in December, but for the next few months are still an ongoing construction project.
