Need help have two daughters will be 5 and 18 months at the time of the trip Oct 30 2005, we will be staying 5 nights at the BCV then changing resorts for 2-3 more nights. I have stayed at the WL at Xmas and love it. Husband would like the poly. His concerns are the stroller getting on and off the bus and boat and needing to fold it up I think you can just roll it right on the monorail? Can you walk to MK from the poly?Any help thoughts suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks to all.

There is a walkway from the Poly to the GF, but not all the way to MK.

In my experience (4 stays at the Poly) we have rolled the stroller right on the monorail. Another plus of staying there is the ease of getting to Epcot by walking from the Poly over to the TTC (pretty short walk IF you are on that side of the resort). This feature makes the Poly the only resort with the ability to get to 2 parks on the monorail without transfering.

WL is a beautiful resort and we loved it there, but if we had an 18 mo. old and a five year old I think we would go with the Poly for ease of travel and convenience. Plus the Poly is gorgeous!

Have a great time!princess:

The Poly is our favorite resort! The themeing is magical and the convenience is unsurpassed!:D

The WL is a fabulous resort as well, we loved staying there during Christmas. Either way, you can't go wrong.

Have fun deciding!

I love the WL. But, the Polynesian does have it over the WL when it comes to transportation. You can just hop on the monorail with your stroller and get to MK. Or just follow the nice path over to the TTC and catch the monorail to Epcot.

And no, you can not walk to MK from the Polynesian. You can from the Contemporary tho. That is my choice for monorail resort when we go. I love being able to walk to MK from CR or taking the monorail over one stop to TTC and switching to the Epcot monorail. If you book a garden room in one of the wings at the CR you will spend a little less than at the Polynesian.

I agree with the others. While the Wilderness Lodge is beautiful, the Poly would be more convenient with the 18month old and the stroller.

The other option of CR is a good one too since you can walk back to the hotel. A friend of mine had a garden view and it was really nice. Also the room that he had was huge.

Thank you for all your help, I have another question If we stay at the Poly how can you travel to the WL I know it's not on the monorail Is it by boat?

You can get on he monorail at the Poly and get off at the Contemporary. From the Contemporary you can take a boat to the WL. It's not as bad as it sounds, it is pretty easy to do and when we stayed at the Poly we enjoyed the monorail/boat ride to WL.

Another vote for the Polynesian.

The fastest way to get to the WL is to walk to the TTC and catch the WL/FW bus.

In addition to the monorail to the CR and then boat, you can also monorail or ferry(from the TTC) to the MK and catch the boat there.

The ferry is another good option for returning to the Polynesian midday without folding your stroller. It is crowded in the am or end of day though.

We love WL and always take the boat- you just roll the stroller tight on the boat just as easy as the monorail!! this is one of the big reasons we like WL so much because of this option, it is easier that folding up the stroller on the bus. We have stayed there 4 times and always rolled right on the boat. We also like that you can take boat directly to contemp. and then roll right on to the monorail. We like WL better that Poly, but that is just our personal preference- we love the theming better and the lobby is incredible. Just seems newer and fresher to us....... but I am sure you will like whatever you choose. enjoy!!!
