Poly or Wilderness in July? Family of 4. Poly is $200 more per night for a Deluxe Studio with Preferred view. Has the split bath with two shower/tub situation. Could do a resort view for same price as Wilderness Lodge fireworks view. Tower studio rooms also available, also preferred view for $200 more than WL fireworks view.

Wilderness Lodge has a fireworks view room available and also a 1 bedroom villa at Boulder Ridge. Price is comparable.

Besides price and theme, I think one major difference would be WL has one large, main building with BR being a covered, very close walk (right near the bus stop). That makes a big difference to our family, due to summer heat and rain storms. We prefer WL and have never stayed at the Poly, mostly for this reason. We have stayed in a fireworks view room (lovely) and we have also stayed in a 1 bedroom at BR.
Depending on the age of your kids, you might want the split bath at Poly? Poly standard rooms are also larger than WL. Transportation is obviously different, but we have always had great luck with it.
Do you spend a lot of time at the resort on your trips? We do. We always take long, midday breaks. That also might help you decide.

The deluxe studio with preferred view is actually TPV. If you look at poly the resort buildings that face the lagoon are all TPV category. So for that alone it’s better than WL fireworks view because it’s much further away.

2! All guests of poly get wrist bands for beach access for 7/3 and 7/4 the nights of the special fireworks. No other resort does this.

3! Getting to MK you can do boat or mono. To Epcot you can walk to TTC for the mono to Epcot . Of the mono resorts this is the best option. Upon return walk or one mono stop to lobby.

4! Yes 2 bath areas are nice! There’s also a table and chair in the room and the Murphy beds are comfy.

5! The DVC rooms all have a patio or balcony . Poly resort rooms don’t 2nd floor.

6! I have stayed at poly tower 3 times. I talked to other guests. The preferred tower is facing the pool or upper floor of backside of the tower facing the parking lot. I had a 3rd floor of that view and I did not enjoy it . Too boring for me.

For 4th of July this is best option.

For other times of year it would depend. For money savings I do love WL if price mattered I would pick that and enjoy it.

If you do choose poly tower there are garden areas in the tower with fireworks/ lagoon view.

I vote Poly simply because I love it there.

Wilderness is just not my vibe. I've tried with non-stay visits there. It just doesn't do it for me.

Age of the kids? If they’re starting to get older the space of a 1 bedroom would be really nice. If they’re not old enough for privacy I’d Poly now and leave WL in the wings for another trip.
