Poly vs Animal Kingdom

I cant decide between the Poly and Animal Kingdom resorts. I have never stayed at a deluxe before and just cant decide. Im a little worried about the buses at AK since we will be there in June. Would love to here your opinion!

The only things that has stopped our family from staying at AKL is the location. I really like to be closer to Epcot or MK if we're going to stay deluxe. The Polynesian is my favorite Resort on property. We love the atmosphere, 'Ohana's, and Trader Sam's. However, staying in a savannah view at AKL is on my bucket list.

We've recently stayed at both and loved each of them. Buses were not an issue at AKL and the resort was beautiful with all the animals. The location of the Poly was just so convenient. The monorail to MK and Epcot was awesome. I'd do each at least once but we would now choose the poly going forward based solely on proximity to 2 parks.

I do want to stay at AKL at some point, but we love the Poly for location. It's easy to get to MK and Epcot, and the resort is pretty compact.

Are you there long enough to do a split?

It's like comparing apples & oranges. Totally different. We love the theming of both in different ways.
Poly has the advantage of good location and 2 monorail stops to MK, and walking distance to TTC for Epcot. Also easy transportation to the other MK resorts for dining. Poly also has the largest rooms.
