Just thought I would post a picture of our wonderful view from room 2607 Samoa building at the Poly. We loved the room and location although since we were on the 2nd floor we did not have a balcony.

Great picture. I too requested pool view again, lst floor for our april trip. We got 3rd floor room 2611, horrible view, I didnt even take a picture out of the balcony. All we saw were the tops of trees and the balconys of the other bldgs. We had lst floor I think 2 years ago, 2nd room from the end by the entrance, that was perfect for us, oh well, I guess magic cant happen every time, but it sure looks like you got lots of :wizard: this trip.

Great photo Cari!!!

Aloha

Hi all,

I have a question is that a standard view room or did you have to pay extra for that???

thanks
Andrea

It is considered a garden view room and there are only garden view rooms and lagoon view rooms at the Polynesian.

LuvAriel,

I don't know. When we stayed there last Summer we were actually booked in GVC but preferred Samoa 1st Floor and switched. We did keep our Concierge privelages though.

Thanks Steve for your quick reply!!! I am so excited about my upcoming trip to the Poly, all the info that I get on these boards really is helpful!!

Beautiful picture !! Why am I staying at the WL again??? :scratchin Oh ! thats right, spent way to much last year at the Poly ;)

I was hoping you would enjoy the view as much as we did  We really enjoyed our stay at the Poly even though it was way too short! We didn't even have a chance to try out the volcano pool :guilty: Guess that means we will have to find a way to stay at the Poly again!!

LuvAriel : This is a Garden View room and we made a request for Samoa facing the volcano pool.

Can you do that?? I never knew that you could. We had Samoa 3rd floor right above this picture and LOVED IT! I really want to try GVC but I really don't like the Hawaii GV.....

It doesn't hurt to ask. They did it for us, but maybe we got lucky? Or maybe they looked at it as One Extra Concierege room they could fill?? ;)

Makes sense to me! It's just a short hop, skip and jump to Hawaii...

Thanks Caribear, that is exactly what I am going to request. Thanks for posting that beautiful picture!!!

Thanks for sharing that picture, Cari! What a great view.

My favorite view at the Polynesian is on the other side of that volcano -- in the Fiji longhouse. Great view of the volcano without any pool noise, and an enchanting marina filled with boats with colorful sails. Plus, off towards the left, the Seven Seas Lagoon.

That lapu lapu is calling to me now!

Hi Rich

Actually, when we learned that our room was on the 2nd floor without a balcony I asked the CM if any rooms were available in Fiji facing the marina. No such luck...they only had a room on the other side of the building. I think I have seen your picture of this view on Tikiman's website! It really is beautiful!!

I didn't have a chance to try the Lapu Lapu, but I did have a delicious Pina Colada!
