I know we can travel from the Poly to the GF by monorail, but what other options are there? Is there a path to walk? Also, is there a boat that travels just between these two resorts? Thanks for your help.

There is indeed a pathway that goes from the GF, past the GF Spa, past the Wedding Pavilion and then on to the Polynesian. It's a nice walk :sunny:
There is a boat which picks up at the GF - goes to the Poly -then on to the Magic Kingdom -then back to GF continuing this loop...

About how long does it take to make that walk? I'm asking because I think we might end up eating a couple of CS meals at GF during our Poly stay, if that's feasible. Thanks in advance!

I had no idea there was a walkway from the Polynesian - Grand Floridian, but I think the Monorail would be a lot faster. The Grand Floridian is the next stop so you should be on the Monorail for at least 1 - 2 minutes, that's if it does not stop along the tracks because there maybe a Resort Monorail already at the GF Monorail station. So you would have to wait for it to depart, so your Monorail can park there.

The path isn't long at all, and it's a really nice scenic walk. It might take 5-10 minutes or so, depending on which longhouse you walk from, and where you are going to at the GF. IME, the monorail can take the same amount of time, again, depending on which longhouse you leave from, and where you are going at the GF, how long you have to wait for a monorail, etc. Either way you can't go wrong--it's an easy commute.

Sometimes we monorail over and walk back. That's always nice after dinner at the GF.

Taking the monorail from Poly to GF is a breeze if you're close to the monorail station and are going somewhere close to the GF monorail station. As far as Gasparilla Grill (counter service at GF), taking the monorail would be the quickest route, I guess. It's getting back to the Poly that would NOT be very convenient via monorail, as you'd have to stop at the MK, then Contemporary, then Ticket and Transportation Center and THEN Poly. The walk is a nice one, weather permitting. I do it all the time to get to the Spa and then pick up my daughter at Neverland Club :teeth:

Thank you for the information. It makes sense to walk home for sure and maybe take the monorail there. I love all the details I get from these boards. I appreciate your help, so I know what to expect when we go next month.

If you don't want to walk, then take the monorail to GF and the boat back to Poly -- you'll be moving in the right direction for both.
