Poly to GF

How long does it take to get to the GF from the poly on the monorail? I didn't know which way the loop went (if the monorail goes to the GF or CR first)...

I don't know how long the monorail takes (I believe it goes from Poly to GF first), but it only takes about 3-5 minutes, tops, to walk. I would opt for walking over the monorail. I'm certain it's faster to walk if you add in the time to get to the monorail station and wait for loading/unloading.

If your starting point on the Resort Monorail is the Magic Kingdom here is the order once it leaves from there. Contemporary, TTC, Polynesian and Grand Floridian. So from the Polynesian to the Grand Floridian it's a 1 - 2 minute ride.

taking into account the wind and the weather... you are looking at a grand total of 10 min. possible during morning and evening hours... in the afternoon that will increase to a max possible 15 min. This includes wait time if you just missed the previous Train.*

it is about a ten minute walk or one minute monorail ride.

Both way are fun and quick but it is certainly more than a 3-5 minute walk from the Eastern longhouses. But a beautiful walk it is.

It also depends on where you're headed. If going to the spa, walk for sure. It will be faster. Most other places, it just won't matter much.

Returning to the Polynesian, walking will beat the monorail. The little launches are fun to take though too and especially convenient if you're dining at Narcoossee's.

Usually takes about 1 - 2 minutes of transit time. You'll spend more time waiting for the monorail (usually 5 - 10 minutes if you just missed the resort monorail) than getting to the GF.
