Our family of 5 - Me, DW, DS10, DD8, DS6 will be heading to the Poly for our next Disney Trip and can't decide which way to go. For about the same price we can give up the Castle View for a Concierge Room. Is this worth it or will the smile on my little girls face as she looks out the window at the Castle be better?

Thanks Much

The view can be seen each day from the concierge lounge. I personally would prefer concierge, as it is nice to have a place to send Dad and the kids to eat breakfast while you finish getting ready.

The rooms are large at the Polynesian but there is only one bathroom. Also another nice thing about concierge there is a restroom in the lounge, just in case.

The garden concierge views are lovely and while most lagoon view rooms have good views not all of them are great. And you are never guaranteed a castle view with lagoon view.

Also the concierge building has all new furnishing and those great beds. :sunny:

The food and service of the Concierge lounge is soooooo worth it in my opinion. I have always splurged for the Lagoon View, but I would go for the garden view concierge, anyway.

We did concierge once, and enjoyed it, but for our family it wasn't worth it. Looking at the ages of your kids, concierge just might be the way to go! From our earlier trip, concierge is best when you need help planning your trip and spend quite a bit of time in the room. At 18 and 20, my sister, dad and I were at the parks longer and always missed the food. I have been planning trips since I was 15 and it is something we enjoy, so the planning didn't affect us as much either. Those are the two big perks, so it ends up depending on what you want out of the resort. Hope this helps some and good luck deciding!

I'd probably go with the lagoon view. We had the concierge lagoon view, but to me sitting out on my balcony looking at the castle and the lagoon was better than using the concierge lounge. :)

We spend very little time in our room. I just returned from the Poly Concierge and it was wonderful.

I would pick a GV and go with the concierge.

I agree with what CaliD said. Also the new beds are in some of the older design rooms. Also your chances are not too bad to see the castle if you get a lagoon view room. The amount of rooms that have a blocked view of the castle is about 15% of the rooms so you have about an 85% chance of seeing the castle if you get a lagoon view room. Well this is just my opinion. You will have to decide what is best for you.

Aloha
