We are thinking of booking a garden view room at the Poly. Where are the garden views located and what exactly is the view in detail? I don't want to overlook the pool areas or any busy type areas. I prefer a more quiet location and definitely PREFER a balcony, not a patio, preferably 3rd floor. How does one request that and where would be the best location for my family? THANKS FOR THE HELP:cool1:

If you don't want a patio, then just request 2nd or 3rd floor. As far as building requests for a non-parking lot view, you may want to look at the map I link to below. A garden view at the Poly, is anything other than a lagoon facing view. There are a couple of "sideways" buildings that do provide an unofficial view of the lagoon. Remember though, all requests are just that - requests.
We have only stayed in Tahiti. We requested it, because it is a very short walk from the TTC. That way, we could hop on the Epcot or MK monorail within walking distance of our room.

If you want a balcony, request 3rd floor -- not all second floors have balconies, only Tokelau, Rapa Nuie and Tahiti have second floor balconies. Others just have the patio door and a railing, no actual balcony.

My pick for what you are describing would be Tahiti - far enough from the "quiet pool" (not always so quiet), the volcano pool, and the other common areas and lots but near the TTC.

I stayed in the Aotearoa Longhouse..I was fortunate to have been upgraded to a MK view...which was third floor...If you have the third floor on the other side you will have a balcony and it will have a monorail view...over looking a golf course. It is quiet and in a great location...just request 3rd floor in that building and you would be very happy on either side :wizard:

Some really nice and quiet garden views are in
Fiji (facing the gardens not the marina), Tokelau (facing the gardens, not the quiet pool), and Rapa Nui (facing the gardens not the parking lot).

Room requests are best done making them when you make your reservation. In my case I have my TA note it on my ressie. She also reminds me to reiterate my room request upon check-in.
