Poly Room Location

We will be staying at the POLY 10/24-31 (1st time at this resort)
We are staying in the "standard garden view". It seems like so many of the posts address the concierge level-what about the standard view. Will we be disappointed? Out last 2 trips we stayed at WL and BC.
Any input on room locations from recent guests would be appreciated..

The garden view rooms at the Polynesian are lovely. The landscaping at the resort is so beautiful and the rooms are very large. After BC and WL I think you'll be surprised at the difference in size.

We've stayed at the Polynesian many times and have only stayed concierge a handful of those. Half of the concierge rooms are gardenview too. In fact no rooms at the Polynesian are called standard....for a good reason I think.

Thanks for the info. I have always wanted to stay at POLY and I sure we will be glad with the choice. I also discovered the tikiman website-that has great info.
Have you requested a specific building for your stay. I requested Tokelau -thought that looks nice.

I'm requesting Tokelau also, ground floor, with Tahiti and Fiji as my alternate choices.

I'm hoping for a room close to the beach.

I'm really getting excited--can you believe we have less than 50 days? Do you have kids? Maybe we'll meet. Are you going to MNSSHP? We're doing it on the 24th.

It's a great locaton. Close to the GCH and the pool. The second floor rooms do not have a balcony though. We had a view of the marina. And btw, it's not noisy.

The Poly is a great resort. The atmosphere is wonderful. You'll have a great time.

We have stayed in Tokelau garden view two times. We were very happy. It is a very long building so one end is very close to the beach. The first time we stayed there we we at the end farthest from the beach, but it was closer to the ceremonial house. Last year when we heard the fireworks starting to go off we just walked a short distance to the end of the hall where there is a door for the outside stairway, so it was easy to get out for a good view. We have always requested to stayed on the 3rd floor.
Its our favorite resort.
