Thinking about watching fireworks on the beach at the Poly... thought we might catch dinner as well. What is your choice at the Poly? :confused3

We've been to Kona Cafe and thoroughly enjoyed it. We dined there on a MNSSHP night and watched Hallowishes from the Poly beach and it was spectacular!

I liked Kona but its the lobby restaurant. I couldn't get past that. I really enjoyed Ohanas with my family. We had to special order because of dietary concerns but the chef came out and was lovely about it. Its a lot of fun for kids and if you are lucky you could secure a view seat from the restaurant. There is also the quick service at Captain Cooks. Or if you really want to splash out; there is the Spirit of Aloha dinner show followed by sitting on the beach watching the 'works.

We've eaten at Kona, SOA shoe, and Ohana's. Our favorite, hands down is Ohana's and second would be Kona. We love the poly restaurants

We like O'hana for dinner and Kona for breakfast. Although O'hana has a nice character breakfast as well, but Kona has Tonga Toast. So Yummy.

Ohana is one of our must do's. The kids love it and we have always loved the food! Plus, the view is incredible.

Ditto for 'Ohana. While Kona's food can be amazing, the atmosphere reminds us of a coffee shop...as the previous poster said, it's hard to get beyond that. My family refuses to go back to Kona for dinner as a result. 'Ohana is better by far in terms of atmosphere & fun....and the food is also very good. You can request a window seat; they pipe in the music for Wishes, and it's really great. We always book 'Ohana for our first night dinner tradition.

We have eaten at Ohana and Kona. Love Ohana for breakfast! It is good for dinner too.... The food is delish, but it comes in MASS QUANTITIES! I guess it could be a good thing, but when we went in Aug 2007, it was just so hot outside, no one was really in the mood to chow down! LOL. Kona has great food. Everyone (me, DH, 2 DDs and my DM and DDad) loved their food. So many places in WDW have better atmosphere than food (Sci Fi comes to mind) and Kona is the opposite. We are planning on doing both Ohana and Kona on our next trip. You really can't go wrong.
