I switched my trip from August 6 until August 28 to take advantage of the free dinning. We had original trip booked for a delux with AP. Since Dining does not let you use AP rate for the room, we switched to a value.

Now I'm thinking I would like to add a few days at a delux with AP rate at the end of our vacation. I wanted to try the Polynesian and sure would like to try to get a renovated room. Does anyone know if one of the building's will be renovated by then and which building? I was thinking Labor day weekend.

No one knows when the first building will be completed for the Poly renovation? Come on you Poly experts, some one should be able to answer this question

iluvepcot......I dont have an immediate answer for you, but you might want to check the official polynesian faq thread, and also check into Tikimans website when it becomes available again on June 12th. You'll find the link for it also on the Polyenisain FAQ thread.
Hope this helps ya somewhat.

I think Tikiman reported that work had started on Aotreeroa (sp?!) and that Tahiti and Tokelau were going to be next this summer. I don't think he printed specific dates for completion and I know that things do change.

In fact, when we were there in May, first I was told Hawaii was going to be started in the next couple of weeks. By the time we left, I had been told later dates and I've since seen September reported for Hawaii.

Good luck.

Oops, you heard from the master while I was typing.

Aotearoa, Aotearoa....10 times. ;) Tear not tree!

Wow, do you poly lovers sure come thru fast! Tikiman, so as not to wait until june 12. Is the first building ready for reservations by late August?

By the way, I never stayed at Poly but have eaten there, seen fireworks from the beach there and have dreamed of the day I would stay. That is all thanks to Tikiman's web site. Glad you're going back on line.

I am not sure what you are waiting for until june 12th but if you mean to request Aotearoa than I would say that your chances of getting Aotearoa will be slim and maybe count on ending up somewhere else since I am sure everyone will be requesting Aotearoa. It is about 10 % of the whole resort so that is what your chances would be.

I am sure you will still have a great trip and hopefully most if not all the work in the GCH will be done by then.

Aloha

Steve
