Poly Renovation?

We booked a bounce back on our exit day early November 2018 for early November 2019 and there was NO availability whatsoever for the Polynesian...whether it be club level or standard rooms. Is that indicative that there's going to be a renovation? Or the popularity took it out of inventory a year out?

I don’t believe it’s scheduled for a refurb in the next year or so. That would be known by now.

When we have looked for bounceback availability while staying at the Poly, I have always seen the schedule end Sept 30 and then nothing else till Dec 1. I called the number once to ask about it, and the agent said there is normally no bounceback ever for Oct and Nov, at least for that resort.

I've had the same issue when trying to amend to late December.

Even if there was a renovation planned, seems unlikely the entire resort would be worked on at the same time.

While they wouldnt work on the entire resort, it would've taken quite a few rooms out of inventory and made sense why there's no BB availability.

Unless an official disney person indicated there is a renovation, I would look for other reasons.

Poly is extremely popular and doesn't have to discount much. Taking out three longhouses for DVC helped with that.

The bounceback dates exclude ALL of October and November for ALL resorts. It sounds from your post that you did book a bounceback? If so, was it at Poly at a different date? Come on over to the bounceback thread for information about bouncebacks and dates:
