I have booked a lagoon concierge room at the Poly to surprise my wife on our wedding anniversary. My two questions are:

1. Is there any advantage on what floor we stay on?

2. I would like to book the Chef's Table at V & A's...should I do that myself , or will I have a better chance getting a reservation using the concierge service at the Poly.

Since this is such a special trip, I suggest also looking closely at this site for more information. http://tikiman2001.homestead.com/ Great info and advice available here.

Concierge is in the Hawaii building. The lagoon views in that building are AWESOME! I would try both ways for V & A....see which is successful....Concierge seems to have some abilities that the rest of us don't.

I'd recommend against second floor as there isn't a balcony on that floor. I asked for and got a first floor room so we would have a patio.

I'd ask the concierge to help you get the Chef's table - even if you don't get the chef's table, I'd really recommend you go anyway. There are only a few tables in the place and it's a special experience no matter what.

We stayed in te 3rd floor and had an awesome view of the castle. I would recommend 1st or 3rd floor since no balcony on floor 2 BUT that said, ask the CM checking you in if you have a castle view or not. I rather a 2nd floor with a castle view then a 3rd floor with a big tree in the way.

If you book conceriege room do you still make your ADR at 90 days. Do the conceriege staff do that for you?

I find the 1st floor is best for us. We like to have direct access to the beach, so it's perfect for me to keep an eye on my young children. :sunny:

Yes, the concierge staff will take care of all your dining requests (amongst other things). :flower:
