Does anyone know why the Poly has less of a discount then other deluxe hotels? I know the discount out last was for 25% of Poly and 30% of other deluxe, now the AAA rate for next year is at 10% when all the others are 15% or 20%

Because it's a much more popular resort, people will pay more to stay there and Disney knows it.

It really is all about supply and demand. Disney is a business and businesses are about making money. If they could get away with no discount at all and still fill up, you'd better believe that they would. They've seen that they can give less of a discount at Poly and still fill up so of course they will.

The aaa discount should be the same. We checked poly for value season - it was 20%. For peak season, it was 10%, and so were all the other deluxe properties during peak.

I was told by a couple of cms that poly has the highest rate of repeat customers. It doesn't always get the best reviews, but you will find it always wins every poll on these boards. The poly lovers will stay there even with a lesser discount. I know I am one of them.

I called for Aug 6-10th, 2012, which is Value 2 and was quoted a 10% discount on my room. Who did you call to get the 20%?

Aug 6 is considered summer season. Value 2 season doesn't start until like Aug 14

Wow! They must be changing the names of their seasons because I have never seen "value" in the middle of he summer. This year it didn't start until mid Aug.

Value 2 started on July 17th this year

aaa quoted me 20% for value season in Feb 2012 -- for Poly or any other property. Ad 10% over the President's week period.

Just called about the Contemporary and it is also 10%, makes me wonder since some of you have gotten 20% at Poly

There are personal PINS associated only under ppls names as well as the GP codes so that could be why there are price differences..

I got 40% off PolyCL for this Sept(booked in Jan) then the other day I called added a night at AKL Arusha View bunkbed and got 30% b/c of the code under my name..

So it all depends..
