Poly pics thread

mom2mek thanx for posting that pic, is that the order it goes in for each resort?

No, I think it has to do with amount of people. On our first trip we stopped at WL before Poly, our second trip was Poly first.

No problem. I think breezysmom is right...it just depends. On that trip (our only so far to the Poly) we happened to be first! :cool1: But now that I think of it, when the bus driver asked, by show of hand, who was going to which resort, there was no one going to WL.

Time to throw in some more Poly pics, from my trip Sep 17-21! Finally got a chance to shoot a few with an ultra-wide lens:

Awesome pictures, Justin. I'll be down there (at the Contemporary) with my 14mm next week. I hope to learn how to use it well, since I am a long-lens guy, normally.

I'm sure you'll do fine...I'm a long lenser myself (I shoot a lot with a 200-500mm!). It's like a whole new type of photography.

Just remember...when in doubt, get closer. It's freaky...you nearly need to stand on top of your subject, and yet can still fit everything in frame. When you're trying to fit those buildings, statues, etc into the shot, and you can't back up enough with a normal lens...with the UWA you're walking closer and closer trying to get rid of all the extra space in the sky!

Adding my pics from July 2008.

View from our room. We had a 2nd floor GV room in Tokelau...last room on the end directly across from the entrance to Neverland Club. Perfect location!

Best drink in WDW, only at the Poly. The famous Lapu Lapu. Ordered this at the Tambu Lounge.
