....We'll be staying at the Poly next Thanksgiving. Thanks for all the great pix to help me decide. As a DLR veteran and SoCal native, this will be only our 2nd trip to WDW and the Poly looks perfect for us. Looks like all the rooms have a great view, too. I'll keep checking this thread for new pix and your ideas for the best room location.

thanks Disney Dad in PA! The pool looks crowded, but not like the pics I've seen of the WL in summer where everyone is standing elbow to elbow! Those pics scared the heck out of me about going to WDW in the summer! Both DD and I need our personal space Does anyone have any pictures of the quiet pool? We are wondering about the slide. In the pictures, the most we have seen is the exit. Does the slide go in the volcano? Or not? What is it like? Does anyone have a picture?

If you look at the above the waterfall there are people standing in line. The person to the far right is roughly where the entrance to the slide is located. The walkway wraps around the back of the volcano and comes out up there.

In addition to what DisneyDad said, I just wanted to add that the slide does go through the volcano; it's an enclosed slide, sort of like a curvy tube you slide through. Hope this helps

I love looking at all these great pics!!! I can not wait until our first stay at the Poly in December!! Looking at the pics did make me think of a question though (and this could just be the cold/allergy meds talking). Does anyone know if all those beautiful flowers outside will be in bloom in December?
