We are going for our second on-site stay this September. Stayed last year at Poly and LOVED IT!!!! Wanted to try another Deluxe - but Contemporary is not available.
Do you think we should stay Poly again or try the GF? Do the GF rooms have private balconies? What would you do?

We absolutely loved the GF! It would always be my resort of choice...if I could afford it! :scared1:

I do believe some of the rooms have private balconies. There are also suites available. We just found it to be a beautiful, relaxing resort. The on-site dining is fabulous, and the pool areas are both very nice. And of course the convenience of monorail access to MK and Epcot is great, if you're planning on spending a lot of time in those two parks.

I know it probably won't help your decision making process to throw another option out there, but have you considered AKL? A savanna-view with a private balcony would be fantastic!

Good luck making a choice...it can be so difficult! So many places to stay, so little time! :rotfl:

We stayed at the Poly this past June and the GF just a couple of weeks ago. We had a standard room at the GF and it had a balcony, but I don't know if they all do. The bell hop told me that the rooms had recently been redone, and I thought they were gorgeous. The beds were so comfortable. Our GF room also had a split bath, which our Poly room didn't. The restaurant choices are great, but we still took the monorail back to Ohana's and Kona because we loved them so much the trip before. If you eat at the food court frequently, though, I thought the GF's was even smaller than the Poly's. We went to the Beach Pool at the GF while we were there-the slide was okay, but not as neat as the volcano one at the Poly according to my kids. Okay, so after all of that, I would have to say that I liked the theme better at the Poly, but the GF room was better. I hope maybe this helps. We have stayed at a different resort every time we have been to Disney, because I think it is neat to try something new. But, you definitely can't go wrong either way!
