Poly or Boardwalk Inn

I notice that the FTP rates are about the same for either Poly or BI in October. We are 4 adults and 4 children ages 4, 5, 8, 9.

It all depends on which park you think will interest you the most.

If you've never been to WDW before or if you think the kids would rather spend time at the Magic Kingdom, then I would pick the Poly. It's so convenient to take the monorail to the MK.

If you think you'd spend more time at Epcot or Disney Studios, then I would pick the Boardwalk Inn. You can walk to take a short boat trip to either of those parks from there.

You'll have a great time no matter which resort you pick. I have pictures of both resorts if that will help. There are links at the top of each page.

I agree with ***********, you'll love either one. I think with the ages of the kids though, I would chose Poly. 1) they are going to LOVE the monorail. Just ride the circle, get off at the other two resorts and walk around and explore. It is SO fun to do that! 2) Poly has the zero entry pool that is newly refurbished. The kids will love that too. 3) BI has some fabulous restaurants out on the Boardwalk, but nothing my kids were overly fond of. And walking down that LONG hallway to go outside to get a cup of coffee in the morning, well lets just say I would prefer the POLY set-up for quick bites and such. BI has no type of food court or even a dining option inside the resort itself.
Don't get me wrong, I really liked BI. But you did ask which one and I think for the particular ages of the kids you mentioned, Poly ranks a little higher.

Have stayed at both and liked both! Stayed Poly when kids were 3 and 6, it was perfect for that trip. Stayed BWI when kids were 6 and 9, really loved the location and everything about it! Going back in Feb., kids will be 8 and 11 and we are letting them pick any deluxe to stay at.... they want to stay at BWI!

Both are really nice resorts and you can't lose but as the other posters have said, they are quite different. Good luck!
