just wondering how long the monorail station at the poly will be closed were getting to book our jan trip

with dvc and this is our "home"

It should be reopening about the same time as the rest of the Poly - mid-July. Disney hasn't given a hard completion date for the station, but I honestly can't imagine they'd be opening the resort if the monorail wasn't available. As with any construction project, delays can happen. Which is why I think Disney has been pretty vague about a date.

We were on the monorail yesterday, and while it's obvious that there's still some work to do, it appears that the major structural construction and the concrete work is either complete or pretty close to being so. With 2 1/2 months until mid July, I'm guessing what's left will come together very quickly.

It will definitely be open by Jan.

I figure the target is to have it running for the July opening, and their ‘do or die’ date is open and running before the 50th on Oct 1st.

eta- I also think the TTC to Epcot monorail is likely to open in that window as well.

I drove past the Poly yesterday (5/3) and it didn't look to me that the station is close to completion yet. Perhaps they will finish quickly though.

Definitely doesn't "look" close to completion, but it does look to me (I could well be wrong) that the major structural elements (steel, concrete pilings and decks) are done or nearly so. Those are the most time consuming parts of a construction project. I really can't imagine them opening the hotel side without the Great Ceremonial House being able to greet guests. And that isn't going to happen if they are still working on the monorail station to any great degree.
