Poly Luau or HHR for Honeymoon??

Hi! I will be honeymooning at Disney in May and wanted to pick one dinner show but can't decide between Luau and HDDR!

Any suggestions from the veterans out there??

I am not a big eater - but FI is.
We are staying at the Swan and plan on going to the late show (for Amex discount). So - easy transportation home would be a plus!!

Also - if we are at Magic Kingdom that day - am I goign to want to go back to the hotel to freshen up/ change into dinner clothes or would you recommend heading right to the show??

Having done both 3 times(the latest this last Dec.) I would do HDDR. May can be rainey and the Luau is kind of outside. I liked the food at both but preferred the entertainment at HDDR much better. I understand they are closing the Luau for a re-furb sometime soon and I don't know what it will look like when completed or when it is to be completed. Hope this helps..smjj

If you decide on the Hoop De Doo make sure you tell them when you are booking it that you are on your honeymoon.
There was a couple celebrating their anniversary when we were there and they were given a table right next to the stage and the wife was picked to perform in the show.

We did the Poly Luau last month and just loved it. This was the second time we had done it and we enjoyed it just as much this time. There were four adults in our party and we all enjoyed the food and show. I would give it two thumbs up.

IMO...
HDD had great food(awesome fried chicken), and the show was hysterical.
Luau, had ok food(Im picky) and a very nice show.

In general I would choose HDD. However for my honeymoon, I think the atmosphere of the Luau would win me over. In fact, we did do the Luau for our honeymoon since I originally wanted to go to Hawaii.
