Poly Long House Question

Last year my DW and twin DSs (2 ys old now) stayed at the Poly and loved it. Everyone said we were crazy to take 1 yr twins to WDW b/c they would not enjoy it b/c they dont know whats going on. First of all to all those people, my sons loved it. They were excited everday to go and MICKEY and their behavior was better than at home. Sorry to get off the beaten path with that. My question is this. We stayed at Somoa last year and had a balcony that was facing the Volcano pool. It was perfect for my DSs b/c they loved watching the pool. I cant remember if Somoa has the balconies on the second and third floors or if it was just the third. Can someone help? Also, we are going again in the second week of Aug. (9th - 16th). Can anyone tell me how soon we can request the same room and view location that we had last year at the Poly and also how are the crowds that time of the year? My DW and I have gone the first week of Aug before we had kids, but I dont remember what it was like. Any help would be appreciated.

Samoa has a patio on the first floor and balcony on the third. No balcony on the second.

You should put your request in with your reservation. If you have nothing noted you should call now and have it added. I've heard that faxing requests do not work anymore.

As per crowds, we are arriving on the 17th and I am expecting crowds to start dwindling that weekend. Florida schools go back around the 20th this year.
