I am trying to get Poly concierge but can only get lagoon view. Have tried several websites and some show availability until i put in my details.

The only luck I have had is on the disney uk website but it is not the same as the us one and i don't think you can change your booking after you've booked, which means i wouldn't be able to switch to concierge if it became available. My dates are 7th Dec for 3 nights. Is it worth waiting to see what happens, or do i just reserve the lagoon view? I really want to stay at the poly but i don't know that the view is worth it when you can get concierge for the same price. Any advice would be appreciated.

Just my opinion...but we always stay POLY LVC. To us, it's worth the money! We have always been lucky enough to get a third floor room and I love to be able to sleep with the curtains open! There is nothing like rolling over in the middle of the night and seeing that beautiful castle with all the night lights on it; or waking in the morning and seeing the glow of the castle in the sunrise; or watching the sun rise over the Contemporary; or being able to watch our boys play in the sand from the room; or being able to watch the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom from our room; or being able to watch the Electric Water Pageant from the room. I could go on and on, and like I said, this is only my opinion - but to us it is really worth the $$$$$.

Good luck with your decision!

Well still no luck - i did find a garden view room on a site called bookit.com, but after i filled in all my details it came up as they will contact me to confirm within 24 hours! I thought i would spend the $300 savings on a garden view on room service - if the booking goes through! Love Poly room service.

We love the lagoon view. Even my hard to impress teens went "WOW!" when we walked into the room and saw the castle. We also feel it is worth the money.

Check out or try to request Fiji. We stayed there last year and had a great view of the wedding palace and the lagoon and the other side of the hotel had the boat dock. You are paying garden view and look at the map... You have water on both sides but not paying for it. Plus you are close to transportation and the main lodge. Hope it helps :cool1:

Exactly what she said -- that view in the middle of the night is priceless!

YES YES YES it is worth every penny. I stayed LV concierge and it was great, we were on the 3rd floor, nothing like looking out the door and seeing the castle all lit up, seeing the water parade go by, I can't say enough about the poly concierge LV :cheer2:

I'm a little confused. Are you saying you have a standard lagoon view room booked and your asking whether you should switch to a garden view concierge? They are the same price.

Sorry for confusion - only poly room available at all was lagoon at disney uk website. I really wanted garden view concierge. It's not the cost that's the issue just that i felt the extra was more worth paying for concierge than the view. But, now, from what I am reading it sounds like lagoon view is worth the cash.

In the meantime though - i found garden view at bookit.com - have never booked with them, but i thought i may as well try to reserve than wind up with no room. Well, i put my credit card details in and everything - then i got this message saying room would be confirmed within 24 hours. I called them and said they need to call the hotel. If i cancelled - i would have to pay a cancellation policy. So i am waiting to hear from them (the 24 hours is almost up!) and hoping that the lagoon view doesn't go in the meantime.

I would still love to try concierge though - but lagoon concierge is a lot more expensive.

Bookit.com didn't come through - tried to sell me SSR instead! Tried disney direct but nothing, so have gone with lagoon view through Disney ok. Thanks everyone.
