my site is tikimanpages.com but it may be shutting down soon so I update my facebook with the latest.
Oh no! Why sitting down?

How did you know I was sitting down? Can you see me?![]()
Darn autocorrect! Haha! Shutting down.
It’s been 14 years and the site needs some updating but with a 17 month old running around and an 8 year old that wants my attention it has been hard to find the time to update the site.
Let’s not get off topic here though.
Thanks for letting me know how to find Tikiman...and yes, I am sitting down too!!! LOL
Sorry I should have asked how I find you on FB?? Is it Tikiman or Tikimanpages or something totally different...I will follow you there!
I have grown up at a restaurant you may be familiar with.... The Omni Hut in Smyrna, TN.... opened by an Air Force captain stationed in the South Pacific, and the best food I have ever put in my mouth.... better than in Hawaii.... so I am a fan of Polynesia and the Polynesian hotel
have been waiting for a DVC at the Poly for 15 years..... will hate to see it scaled back as you fear it will..... was hoping for a little Aulani and WDWIt is official

"Walt Disney World is building more Vacation Club timeshares at its Polynesian Resort.
The planned development project at Disneys Polynesian Resort, when completed, will join Disney Vacation Clubs 12 other properties, including The Villas at Disneys Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, scheduled to open Oct. 23," said a Disney news release. "Construction on the Polynesian project began this month, and completion is estimated to be in 2015. In addition to the Disney Vacation Club project, other guest areas within Disneys Polynesian Resort will undergo refurbishment. More information and project details will be shared at a later date.
There were no details on how many units were being added, but it now allows the company to market the Disney Vacation Club spots along Walt Disney Worlds monorail system.
So props to Tikimanpages.com, which wrote a blog back in August that said the project would be taking 143 rooms out of inventory at some point when they close Tahiti to be turned into [Disney Vacation Club] portions.
This new addition provides more rooms for Walt Disney World to attract more tourists to Central Florida, which will help other area businesses and help continue to grow the region's $32 billion tourism industry.
This is a developing story, check back later for more.

Thanks Majortom. I also expect to see Rapa Nui's 80+ rooms to be converted also along with the 20 added bungalows so I think the total DVC rooms will be about 250.
IS the trader sams still scheduled to be put in? As a dvc member it is sad how much I am more looking forward to trader sams then the poly dvc. I have been to trader sams at Disneyland and it rocked.

What about a hot tub? any rumors there?
Trader Sam's will go in adjacent to Captain Cook's where Captain Cook's patio is now. Wait for the official announcement![]()
