I totally agree- will probably be a smaller version of the “quiet” poolI don't think the pool is going to be cool enough for them to care about limiting access. There's no room for it. Even if there were, building fancy pools costs $ and DVC isn't going to spend it on the silly pool. I expect a bare bones, nothing special pool.
I disagree, don't see Disney investing the huge amount of money this will require and skimping on the pool or anywhere on this resort. Could be wrong, but it wouldn't make sense to me.I totally agree- will probably be a smaller version of the “quiet” pool
Let's say DVC does want to spend money on the pool. I don't agree, but let's say you're right. How much can they do with that tiny space? Maybe put in a mediocre slide? Sand bottom and all the maintenance costs these timeshare suckers will pay? Maybe a swim up bar? That would be a Disney first, and probably a real money maker. And then this wouldn't be a quiet pool, LOL.I disagree, don't see Disney investing the huge amount of money this will require and skimping on the pool or anywhere on this resort. I agree the footprint looks small, but the Artist's rendering makes the pool look like it could be pretty amazing. If you look at the satellite image, it looks like they could possibly fit a pool pretty close in size to the Lava Pool. I really doubt that Disney will try too many shortcuts with this resort.Let's say DVC does want to spend money on the pool. I don't agree, but let's say you're right. You know what, I'll manifest that. Let's go swim up bar. Poly already has the main pool with the activities and the quiet pool. Let's get crazy at this tiny pool. Then they're going to have to limit access or everyone from GF will be there too.
I was a bit shocked that Disney was jamming in an entire new DVC in this space, especially with the Wedding Pavilion still there.Let's say DVC does want to spend money on the pool. I don't think it's a "shortcut" to put in a normal, boring pool. The pool with the slides and the activities is next door. This is a tiny space, there's no room for anything cool, except alcohol. Win-win.I agree the footprint looks small, but the Artist's rendering makes the pool look like it could be pretty amazing. I wonder if the walking path will be moved closer to the lake. Never saw this drawing before, kind of hard-to-get which way it faces.I was a bit shocked that Disney was jamming in an entire new DVC in this space, especially with the Wedding Pavilion still there.
Guests need a place to park.
A pool is more than just a pool; it needs enough desk space for chairs.
The artwork we saw suggested it might be a 2-tiered pool. I can image a swim-up bar but it's so small, this pool is going to have to have limited access.

We were looking at the Cabanas at VGF and they looked like it would be a nice day for a family to spend a day at the pool.LOL, all cabanas. Yours for $120/day! Sounds right.
Remember, you don't need a cabana. You need a friend with a cabana.
Forget it! For $120, you can get two Power Rangers beach umbrellas at Walmart and a 12-er of PBR over at the Winn-Dixie by the Sheraton, and still have cash left over for a family sized Cheetos. We were looking at the Cabanas at VGF and they looked like it would be a nice day for a family to spend a day at the pool.
Food from the pool bar is actually pretty good and they bring the food and drinks right to your cabana.

Of course the cabanas at the other DVC resort that has them, BRV are free, but let's not spoil the fantasy.
They have the nice hot tubs over at that pool near BRV. You could set up the umbrellas and Cheetos right there.Forget it! I like to use the hot tub there and we usually like the main pool with the water slide. My daughter and I go there in the morning and go on the slide and swim all around the pool and against the current first thing in the morning before we go to the park. Lots of fun and a good work out.We love the BRV quiet pool!
Don't know about all that but we probably already have enough points, otherwise I would consider buying there."That new DVC tower at Poly looks cool, and I'm glad DVC is expanding!"
Yeah, but it's too close to GF.
Yeah, but it won't have its own Monorail station.
Yeah, but they ruined the walkway.
Yeah, but they got rid of the luau.
Yeah, but the site is too small.
Yeah, but the theming I see in the artwork looks nothing like the rest of the resort.
Yeah, but it looks like Reflections.
Yeah, but where will you park?
Yeah, but there won't be any food locations.
Yeah, but the rooms are going to be too small.
Yeah, but it won't have theme park views.
Yeah, but it will block other theme park views.
Yeah, but there won't be enough studios.
Yeah, but there will be too many studios.
Yeah, but the studios won't sleep 5.
Yeah, but the studios don't have 2 bathrooms.
Yeah, but it will be a new association.
Yeah, but it will be part of the old association.
Yeah, but remember when they added the Treehouses at SSR?
Yeah, but it will have restrictions.
Yeah, but it will make them jack up direct prices everywhere.
Yeah, but it will be the last new construction until 2042.
Yeah, but the pool is too small.
Yeah, the pool isn't too small but its actually just a fountain they'll let you jump in like at Disney Springs.

Yes, we love WL, own at CCV. Probably my favorite resort of the 3 we own VGF, CCV and Riviera. It's the perfect size, quiet, close to Geyser Point (food and beverage service at the pool), and it has a half-dozen cabanas that are 100% free and quite nice. Not the enclosed tents of VGF, VGC, etc. and no personal stocked fridge, but 100% free. And you can bring your Cheetos.
If you listen to "some", it's the first circle of hell and if there's anything you'll find in that pool, it will be Charon ferrying you to Limbo.Don't know about all that but we probably already have enough points, otherwise I would consider buying there.
Love Geyser Point, our last visit Disney upgraded our 1br to a dedicated 2br (just 3 of us) and we were at the end of the hall on the 2nd floor. Right out the door to GP food and drinks. Beautiful place sitting right at that beautiful lake.
