Poly discounts??

We are booked 12/6-12/14 and our dates are not very flexible. We got rack rates for the Poly ($340/night) I was wondering if it is realistic to think there will be a discount coming out--Disney Visa or something else. I just don't think we'll be able to pull that off.

Should we join AAA for $64 to get the 15% off or wait til August? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

If you want an AAA discount, I'd do that as soon as possible. If they sell out of the AAA rooms, you'll be out of luck.

We're using AAA for our third annual trip at the Poly. This August, for 8 nights, we're saving about $400 off the total tab, during Value season. We're going too early for free dining, and the AAA rate is the best available at this time. If the Poly is your goal, then you should book it at whatever discount you can get because you have no guarantee Disney will release a cheaper rate at the days you want.

I agree about getting the AAA rate reserved as soon as possible because there are limited rooms available. You might be able to reserve a AAA room without giving them your AAA number thus being able to put off getting a AAA card until you can decide. Also magical vacations has some great room rates reserved for the Poly but I think it starts Dec. 11th. Maybe you could at least get the rates for those days of your trip. Good luck!!

I looked into getting AAA rates at the Poly for our stay in July. I was quoted about $290 per night, tax not included. Too rich for my blood.

How do you do a split stay? Do you need to have your own transportation from one resort to another? I am not sure what to do--we got a pin code for 20% off but of course it doesn't apply to the Poly--just values, mods, and BC or BW. $340/night is pretty outrageous, but then again we won't be able to come back for several years and I am sure the prices will be even higher.

Just make arrangements with bell services 24 hours before you check out. They will come and pick up your luggage and take it to the other resort. Since checkout time is like 11:00am, we just hit the parks and take whatever bus is going to our new resort.
