Hi,

Going to WD in August booked reservations at ASM (first time) and for dinner one night at the Poly Luau and reservations for the kids at the Neverland Club afterwards. Would like some feedback on both. Thanks.

Does the ASM rooms have air conditioned rooms? :)

Can't Wait!

Most kids absolutely LOVE the Neverland Club--all my friends' children who'd been there begged to go back every evening.

My DD, however, just HAD to be different. We didn't even try leaving here there on our first trips to WDW, when she was 3 and 5. When she was 6, we decided she was ready for it. DH and I had a great evening at MGM/Disney Studios, enjoying a relaxing dinner and doing all the stuff DD didn't like.

When we returned to pick up DD and asked her how she'd liked the Neverland Club, she said "it was ok." She then proceeded to list her complaints:

1) They MADE her eat chocolate cake for dessert and
2) Goofy smelled bad. (It was a rainy evening, so his costume probably got damp!)

LOL, just goes to show some kids will complain about anything...

Our two (7 & 8) loved Neverland Club. Cool arcade games, and plenty of kids to hang out with. When we picked them up, they were mad! Wanted to stay longer!

Even though we are usually at WLV and they have the Cub's Den there, my two 7 and 11 now request the Neverland Club. They love the CM's, the food, the arcade games and interaction with other kids after spending so much time with grown -ups. When DS turns 12 I don't know how to break the news to him that he can't stay there anymore! This time I actually went all the way in to pick the kids up and I can really see why they love it there. We were about a half hour early picking them up this time and they let me know I cut into their time!

jds--oh to have such things to complain about! My dd didn't care for it as much the very first time she went, only one complaint--this trip she explained it this way--"There was a girl there that was bossy, way bossier than me even and that was annoying!"

Does the ASM rooms have air conditioned rooms?

All Walt Disney Resort Hotel rooms are air conditioned, have phones, TVs with remote, etc.

dinner one night at the Poly Luau

They have redone the Luau since we went several years ago. When we did go, we weren't overly impressed for the amount of money that we spent. We aren't cheapskates or budget minded, either. The food was OK, the entertainment was OK, and if you wanted seconds, good luck finding your server. I hope that they have cleared up these problems with the new Luau. We now go to 'Ohana instead.

for the kids at the Neverland Club afterwards.

My DD's trip to the Neverland Club is the highlight of her trip. She enjoys being there while DH and I enjoy a good adult dinner. They have games, Disney movies on a full sized movie screen, computers, video games, areas to act out their fantasies. If your child arrives before 8, the stay includes dinner. A nice buffet dinner designed around the kids' tastes. If your child gets there after the dinner, the cost is still the same... $10 per hour, per kid. Since we only have one, we don't know if there is a discount for the 2nd kid. All children must be 4 years of age, and be potty trained. This is Florida law, not Disney rules. The cut off age is 12 years old.

Hope you have an enjoyable time!:)

My two DS loved the Neverland Club. My DH and I really liked the Luau also. The kids will have a blast and you and your DH will definitely enjoy the luau. It is really nice to have an adult dinner where you don't have to worry about your kids. Have fun!

My Ds loved the Neverland club when he was 9. Great activities and he had a visit from Goofy and some animal visit. They had buffet kid style. We went to California Grill for a wonderful adult dinner! I highly recommend it! Just a monorail away from Poly and they give you a beeper at Neverland. We went to luau many years ago and found entertainment good, but food very mediocre. Current reviews of new one are not that different. I would rather pay the money for CG or even Kona cafe(we love this place also) for the adult time alone with my DH.
