Poly Concierge Refurbishments

When we booked our concierge room they told us that the Hawaii building would be finished on September 20th. We are arriving on the 20th and are wondering if they are still on schedule. Does anyone have any news?

I thought I read that the date was revised to mid-October?

The move dates are at October 17 or 18. I doubt, from the look of things, they will make an earlier move. . .then again, you never know. My fingers are crossed for you!

We arrive the 20th of September also Poly concierge for a week...maybe we'll see you! Kids???? We have a 6 1/2 and 8 year old boy.

This is our first time for the Polynesian so I guess we wouldn't really notice the difference between the two buildings. We just thought it would be neat to stay in a newly updated building.

Kokomom-we'll have our two daughters with us. They are four and five. They are so excited to be going back to Disney!

We'll be there on the 20th as well! We're going for my little boy's 4th b-day. Polynesian concierge, lagoon view... hope everything is ok, I've heard lots of good and bad...It will be me, my wife, little guy and my in-laws from the 20th through the 27th. I haven't been to Disney for over 20 years... I think I'm the most excited of the group!

According to Tikiman the rehab isn't going to be done until mid-October. There is a post on there from last week regarding this. Looks like several of us will be there Sept 20-27th...hope it is a good time for all. There seem to be a lot more positive posts lately about the Tahiti---there are a few on Tikiman's sight. I spend way too much time on these boards

Thanks for all of the replies. We too have read both positive and negative reports regarding the concierge in Tahiti. Kokomom-I'm going to go to Tikiman's site and read some positive reports! I think we all will have a wonderful trip! The hours are a little longer than last year so I'm assuming that there will be more crowds. Let's hope the more the merrier.

Disneyophyte, you sound like my husband. I think he's even more excited than our two d.d. I hope your son has an outstanding birthday. What a magical place to be when you are turning four!

Slinky_dogg--I'm jealous! You are only three days away. Have an awesome trip.

Keep the faith, 4dizfans! DW and I are going LV Concierge Oct. 1 -8 and we know that we'll have a great time staying in Tahiti! By all means check out the Tikiman; he helps put a lot of the comments in perspective.

And for the record, I'm the Disney planner for the two of us, and I'm more excited than DW is (but not by much).
