POly Concierge or AKL Concierge?

Ok, I've been seeing all these bad comments on the Poly and I am starting to have second thoughts. My DH and I have been to WDW several times but this is our first family trip with DD3 1/2 and DS 18 months and we haven't stayed on site in a while. I have reserved a room at the Poly concierge lagoon view for the end of Sept. but now I'm wondering if that was a mistake.

I was also hoping to get some help with AP rates and we all know that that isn't going anywhere fast.

Anyway, can those of you who have been there recently give me some advice. I was looking forward to the Poly because my DD wants a view of the castle being the princess that she is and we thought the convenience of transportation would be best as DS will probably need some breaks.

What would you do? We will probably be driving and have a car. Thanks for any advice you can offer. I'm really feeling troubled over this. I want this to be a very special vacation and I don't want to pick the wrong place to stay!!

I can't tell you about the Poly's Concierge now (At Tahiti); but I will say that for sheer convenience- I'd go to the Poly. I have a 3 1/2 DS and we are going to the Poly at Christmas (even though we Love the WL at Christmas more) simply because the Magic Kingdom is a 10 minute boatride away (or monorail). I don't know how your children are when they are tired (Kids get tired at WDW!), but mine has limited patience. It is so handy to just pop over to our room at the Poly for a quick nap, or a snackie. We've stayed at the AKL also- and by the time you get to your car and drive over to AKl you are looking at a good 30 - 45 minutes minimum---My son would fall asleep in the car, and then promptly wake up when we tried to get him out of the car- His nap would then be "done"- and it would be all of about 20 minutes! So- based on the ages of your children, I'd say go with the Poly!
