Once again we woke up to Mickey calling to get us moving. We are headed to Epcot this morning. We eat bfast in concierge , accept for my DH who does his morning run to Capt. Cooks for his bacon and egg crossiant and feeding his favor bird. There was this bird that would sit out by him every morning and beg for food. One day this bird even followed him back to the building LOL
So after bfast we head off to the TTC to catch the monorail to Epcot. It is much easier to catch it at the TTC if staying in Tahiti. The only time we used the monorail from the Poly was going to the MK . As we are pulling up to the Epcot station my DH is complaining about the Mickey hand that they have added to the sphere. Personally I like it. So we head to Test track after going through West Innoventions. We thought we would get a FP but the line was only 10 min wait so off we went. This was a big thing for us, my DD was afraid to ride it last yr and wasn't too thrilled with the idea this yr but she rode it and it is now her favorite ride. She wanted to go on it immediately again but when we got back around it was a 30 min wait . We grabbed a fp for later and headed off for World Showcase. We rode Malstrom in Norway the first time also, it is a great ride and a great escape from the heat.
We shopped a bit and picked up a funnel cake (I love funnel cakes) Watched the Drum show in China, ate lunch in America, and headed back towards Future world. We stopped by the Coke Cool Station and watched my DN's face as she tried Beverly
Her favor was the Mexican Mezzo Mix, DD and I both love the Watermelon soda from China and DH can't stand any of them.
We head back to the resort for swimming . When we got back to the Poly the girls wanted to go walk on the beach a bit . I sat out on the balcony watching them play and soaking up disney. They got back to the room and somehow had lost one of their keycards!!
So DD, DN and I are franticly searching all over for the card . DH had gone up to get a soda right before they came in. Seems they met at the elevator and DH noticed something in the floor when he got on.... the keycard. So he made them suffer (and me too) until he got back to the room. After that we found out if they lose one as long as we have the no# that is on the card it can be stopped and replaced. We immediately wrote down the no#s ! So write down your no#s and put it in a safe place, just in case. So we finally make it to the pool for some cooling off. This is the day I noticed there were more than a few people with back packs, duffle bags and rolling suit cases by the pool. Not knowing who is DVC and who isn't I didn't say anything. Maybe I have been blind but I had never really noticed it before. And I would like to know who hides the ashtrays around the pool area Finding one is like an adventure all on its own! We played in the pool for about an hour and headed off to the room to get changed. We had PS at 7pm for PrimeTime 50s at MGM. And getting 3 females ready is no easy task with one bathroom . Dh found that out the hard way, once he even went down to the pool to go because we were taking up the bathroom so much.
We arrive at PT50s late for our PS (about 5 mins), we waited about 3 mins and were seated. DD and Dn love this place, and especially love DH being force feed his stuff peppers. The food was great as usual, Dh had stuffed peppers, I had the pot roast, DD and DN both had the chicken fingers and wonderful milkshakes. We got the light up ice cubes for the girls. No dessert , or should I say no room for dessert. This place still serves large portions. Everything is great about this rest. , the food the atmosphere, the decor, and the staff. We walk a bit after dinner to tower of terror, and DH and DN ride this while DD and I go shopping and to the restroom. We meet up at the hat about 30 mins later just in time for the park to announce closing. So we go back to the room and get ready for day 4. Early morning for us, getting up at 6:30 so we can be at AK close to opening. Don't think I am crazy getting up at 6:30 to be there by 9am, that only gives us an hour and half to get ready ,eat and be at the bus stop. If you get at the bus stop an hour early you might make it on time. We had a few long waits this trip for buses from the Poly. Not sure why, DH asked if it was because of lay offs last yr and the answer was no , they run every 20 mins. But once we waited 45 mins for a bus to MGM.
