Poly Conc. Lagoon View

How many of these rooms have views of the MK and fireworks? We are staying there for the first time in January and we would really like one of the two rooms to have a view of the MK for the kids. How many people who stayed there in the concierge Lagoon view have had a view of teh MK and how many haven't? I know MK view is an option in thye standard rooms, but it wasn't an option for the concierge. Anyone with any info?

Hi I've stayed in a Polynesian concierge lagoon view room on 4 different trips. We've always been on the third floor; twice down near the lounge end of the hall and twice down the further end. EACH time we had a fully UNobstructed view of the lagoon, Magic Kingdom, and the fireworks. I believe that EVERY lagoon view room from the Hawaii (concierge) building will have a FULL view of the fireworks. SOME of the rooms may have a bit of a tree or bush in PART of the view, but you can just take a step in either direction and then be able to see a clear, full view of the lagoon, fireworks, etc.

From my experience the Lagoon View Concierge should all be MK view. But some rooms may not have totally unobstructed views of the MK. There are some trees/bushes that may be in the way in some rooms.

First floor has a patio and 3rd Floor has a balcony. 2nd floor doesn't have a balcony. Its typically a $100 a night more for the lagoon view, and while it might be nice we were happy with garden view. During Wishes we'd walk down to the beach area, sit on the swing (enough room for 3 people) and watch from there.

Will there be any fireworks to see in January once the holidays are over? I know the Electric Water Pageant will run all year but I believe "Wishes" is seasonal and dependent upon the Magic Kingdom's operating hours.

I *think* Wishes is every single night, but different times, depending upon when the Magic Kingdom closes... but I could be wrong!

As usual, Sea Spray knows better than do I! I just checked the January 2008 Park Hours on the DIS and they show "Wishes" running throughout January at either 8pm or 7pm. I guess I am recalling way back when (before kids) when we could go to Disney off season and the MK would close at 6pm with no fireworks or Main Street Electrical Parade (now I am dating myself )
