Packing...what kind of coffee maker have the Poly rooms got? 4 or 10 cup? Cone or basket? And can you buy a bag of ground Kona, or should I pack my Dunkin Donuts?
TIA

I did not use the coffee maker when I was at the Poly, so I cannot comment on the machine. I do know that you can buy Kona coffee at the Poly. I believe that the Kona Cafe sells it. I'm sure that they would be happy to grind it for you if it is sold only as whole bean.

I didn't use it or investigate it fully, but it was small. Definitely not 10 cups.

The Kona coffee stand does sell Kona coffee. Someone just posted yesterday that it is sold whole bean or ground. Kona is $40/lb and Kona blend is $20.

The coffee makers are 4 cup but I can't remember if the filter was cone or flat as I just remove it to make tea.

I'm pretty sure they provide the filters so you shouldn't have to worry about bringing those.

No, at least not the last time we were at the Polynesian. There were those packets with the coffee already inside the filter. So if you're bringing or buying your own coffee, you will need filters.

Yes, you'll need *flat* filters. The basket is very small and flat at the bottom, 4-cup size.

I actually liked the room coffee in the filters. It is a 4 cup pot, but I put in 3 cups of water because I like strong coffee and liked it better than my first cup purchased at Kona Coffee shop. A mocha coffee was $5.65 and I didn't even like it that well. The room coffee tasted just fine. It is a prepackaged flat filter.

yup it's a 4 cup flat filter. we bought the kona coffee to have every morning in the room (yes, it was $40, but it was reaaaally good, and we didn't finish it while there, so we had a bunch to bring home). they ground it for us. just be aware that they closed around noon, so we had to go when they opened on our way to MK one day, then they held it for us till we got back so we didn't have to waste time taking it back to the room. i think they opened around 7am. so if you have time, you could get it early in the morning, bring it back to the room, then have time to get to your park for the day.
