we have not been to Disney for 2 years and are coming back for 5 nights for the Memorial weekend.

We are splurging to stay st Poly’s bungalow for these 5 nights.

any tips in room location requests?

I tried searching for this but the information is so overwhelming.

Thanks so much in advance !!

This map shows the locations of each of the bungalows by number. The lower numbers are close to the Lava Pool beach area and the higher numbers are closer to the Ferry Landing at the TTC which can be noisy with all the horns going off on arrival and departure. All would have views of the MK fireworks. I have stayed in Moorea in a lake view and looked on 7014 through 7020 and they had great views of MK. We saw a wedding party there one weekend taking great photos on the boardwalk.

We have stayed at the Bungalows twice now. The last time was over NYE. My personal opinion is that 7007 is the best location.

I am pretty sure I will keep the reservation. However, the bungalow is really expensive!! It is using more than 700points for 5 nights!! There are just 4 of us and when I checked the other day to make the reservation, the only other availability for a 2br would be at SSR or OKW. We love OKW, but wanted something different. I hate moving, especially we are only there for 5nights. But I keep thinking what I can do for over 700 points...

Any other places that you think I should waitlist and still have a great experience? I am even wondering if I should just book concierge with this many points for 5 nights..

Thanks for any suggestions.

For me, it would be all about the stay, and the view of MK fireworks from the bungalow is amazing. We had a 2 night cabin stay in December, and the idea was NO parks, enjoy the cabin and the amenities of the Wilderness Lodge area. We invited folks for dinner on our second night, and others for breakfast in the cabin on check out day. We had a bonus invite for 2 of the 5 in the cabin to be part of the flag ceremony at MK, so we did all go into MK for a few hours.

Given that you have not been to WDW for 2 years, I think going to the parks will be more important that just a resort experience, what do you think? Happily ever after at the MK needs to be seen in the park as well as from a distance, IMO. Yet, if it were me, I think I would keep the bungalow. I cannot imagine even Concierge being more special.

We will be booking Aulani at 7 months pretty soon. DH has his heart set on an OVGV, so, I understand the point usage, one will be our first choice as I try to book later this month.

Whatever you do, I hope this trip is special for you. 2 years without going to WDW, must have been hard.

lat, I agree with Bobbi, make this a special coming back to WDW trip. Enjoy the time in the bungalow. Use your FPs and not worry about getting to the parks for rope drop and closing.

I assume that not all of your points will have to be used this trip so some of them are bankable. In the meanwhile wait list the dates for a 2BRs. Pick two large resorts that have lots of 1 or 2BRs, SSR and OKW or BWV or AKV.

I agree with Bobbi and like her, we travel to WDW often and the parks aren't as big of a deal as it is those folks who don't go as often. Our "Resort Experience" is really important as we spend as much time at the resort as anywhere else. Regarding your question about staying in the Bungalow, I'll just tell you that the bungalows are an absolutely unique experience. If you plan on "rope dropping" every day and "closing down the park" before returning to your room, you won't get the full experience.

I think you need to keep the bungalow -- probably a once in a lifetime trip to stay there, if you have the points and you don't need them elsewhere why not?! You just have to come back and report how it was. I think the only drawback that i recall reading was some of the ventilation (i think being too hot in the summer), but hopefully they have corrected this issue. I guess the horns from the boats are loud and start early so if you need or like to sleep in you might want to research if that is a real huge issue or just people complaining. I don't think you can beat having your own private view of the fireworks. Definitely jealous as our small 120 point contract will never allow this opportunity, but there are always addons that can happen!!

Think of other things you can do to make it special - like ordering Ohana in room dinner.

In my 2 stays at the Bungalows, the only problem we encountered was a noise associated with the sanitary system tank evacuation in unit 7006 2 years ago. When we stayed in December of last year, we stayed in 7007 and did not experience that noise. They could have fixed them all as we notified them of the situation. The boat horns were not an issue (but could be with the units closer to the TTC) and we didn't experience any HVAC issues. Ohana's feast (in room) is a must and is a really good value. The firework and electric water pageant can't be beat. The feeling of solitude is amazing yet the main lobby and amenities are really close. This is a a once in a lifetime trip (until you love it so much that you return).

Very true that the bungalows take a lot of points! Are you planning on lots of park time since you haven't been there in 2 years? Was the Bungalow booked in part because it was the only 2BR available that wasn't SSR and OKW? Personally I think that if paying all those points for a stay one should take advantage and enjoy time in the accommodations. That would include Concierge too so I wouldn't switch out the Bungalow for a points concierge stay but that's just me.

If using all those points will bother you then definitely waitlist a 2BR somewhere else that you would also like to try. It may not come thru but nothing lost in trying.

Thanks so much for all the advice!! I cancelled the bungalow because there are just the 4 of us and it feels like such as waste. On top of it, my kids just want to be in the parks since we have not been there for a while. Everyone is very excited with all the new stuff at AK. We booked a few nice restaurants this trip for my older daughter's 20th birthday - Blue Zoo, Cali Grill brunch and V&A's dinner :) Very excited with the trip!!

Booked a 2br at OKW. We love OKW for its size and comfort. However, I am waitlisting for a BLT 2br so that we can walk to MK. Not a big deal if we don't get it. We are happy with OKW if that is where we are staying. I don't get why people don't like OKW as much. The biggest room on property (I think) and we love the décor. We always rent a car so the location is perfectly fine with us.

I think that because OKW is not within walking distance to a park, affects some people's opinion of that resort. Some think it is very important and often state that is their favorite thing about a resort. Although truthfully although mentioned by people staying at Epcot resorts, I rarely see people actually walking to DHS, the majority take a bus or a Friendship boat. It is a pretty long walk compared to the walks to Epcot and the walk to MK from BLT.

700 pts for 5 nts. I couldn't do it. I could stay a lot longer somewhere else
