I wrote a detailed review of the Bungalows after we stayed there for the first time last May. We loved it and found the only negative thing (other than the amount of points per night) was the plumbing noise issue. I reported this issue to DVC after our stay and they said they would look into it. That was last May. I did not hear back from them so I decided to follow up on my request.

DVC called be back today and reported that "corrective work" was done in January. That sounds great. Unfortunately, we do not have another trip planned for the "Lows" so I can't check it out personally. I am interested to see if this issue has been corrected.

If anyone is planning to stay soon or has stayed recently, I am interested in a report. Please post on this thread

Thanks

Nice to hear. Noticed the plumbing sounds too when we stayed there in January. However that didn't bother me anywhere near as much as the boat horn noise all night! Would not opt for a bungalow again. We also prefer the overall space and layout of a 2 bedroom dedicated villa. The second bedroom with two queens is a big plus for us.

We've been able to tour the bungalow and I do admit the features and location they offer are pretty awesome. But we don't have as many points as I wish we had and we can't justify the nightly rate for those bungalow vs nights at another dvc resort. For our 15th anniversary 2 summers ago we splurged with some banked & borrowed points to stay at a Treehouse. That was a lot too us, but when comparing the 2 I can't believe the bungalows are that much more than the THV...

I doubt if anything can be done about the plumbing noise. The units are lower than the sewer lines on shore so the septic system needs to move the sewage from a holding tank uphill to the sewage pipes on shore.
