I've seen fragments of what I'm looking for in various threads. Hoping for a more concise resource here, or at the very least if someone is aware of a killer thread or website with the info I need, please direct me there.

We are booked for four nights, lake view studio at the Poly in early August. We will be coming from the Beach Club, having stayed four nights there. This second half of the trip will be MK/Epcot heavy, with plenty of pool time. We always pack light, so will need access to laundry. And, of course, we would like the best view (hopefully MK) possible.

All that said, what do I need to know about the three DVC studio buildings?
Thanks

For best view, ask for high floor and hope you get lucky. :)

Walk from Poly to TTC to catch the EPCOT monorail (rather than take resort monorail around the loop and transfer at the TTC to the EPCOT monorail).

Just one laundry for the DVC villas - it's in the Moorea Building (which is the one that has all of the Lake View villas). Some have found this website helpful for determining the best time to visit the laundry facililites.

For lake view there is only one longhouse, Moorea and that is only half of it, the part facing Seven Seas Lagoon. The other two DVC longhouses are standard view.

I would request a high floor. For most of the patios on the first floor you can see the fireworks easily including the castle, but the bungalows really dominate your view.

The laundry is in the Moorea Longhouse on the first floor. Take your MB to get in.

I guess the building is dictated by the view, so there's not much to worry about except asking for, and hoping for, the higher floor.
