Can someone confirm if we will or won't be able to watch fireworks from the Poly beach this August? We will be turned away:scared:

You won't be turned away.

But, the area of open beach is about cut in half due to construction.

Some more open areas from that angle will be on the Poly beach over by the Hawaiian Luau Cove Theater or over at TTC.

I am not sure how much beach will be left open in August other than the beach near Luau Cove. The entire pool area and from what I understand most of the walkway by the pool will be closed. We stayed there last week and there were blue flags in the grassy area on the side of Samoa that faces the pool. Bell services told us that due to the construction they would not be selling any of the rooms on the pool side of that building. We are not going to stay at Poly on our next trip in October due to the construction. I would recommend viewing from TTT near the ferry dock.

Is there a good view from GF beach?

You can see the MK fireworks from the boat-dock and an outside
observation deck near Narcoossee's restaurant at the
Grand Floridian. Anyone can stand on Narcoossee's Deck.
The outside deck is not a part of the actual restaurant. (All serving is done inside.)
The deck is accessed from the sidewalk outside the restaurant.
Also, good viewing from the Patio overlooking the Marina.
The sound of the show is piped into these areas too.

At the Contemporary, there is viewing on an outdoor
observation area on the 4th floor.
The California Grill observation areas are reserved for patrons that day of the Grill or Bar.

(Fireworks shown above are simulated.)

At Wilderness Lodge, the "secret place" to watch the MK fireworks is from the northern area of the Cast Member (CM) Parking Lot.

At the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds Marina (angle shown on the map below,) some of the view (especially of the "Fantasyland" pyro) is blocked by the now unused Discovery Island in Bay Lake and by the high-rise buildings of the Contemporary Resort.
But, the view from the Ft. Wilderness' sand beach (farther north) is more open.
Still the tree-level can block the views of the lower-firing pyro.

Here are the angles of the views in the Bay Lake area.

As for viewing from INSIDE the dining area of restaurants
(you usually need ADRs for most, and they are usually busy during the shows)...
you can see (and hear) them at California Grill at Contemporary,
'Ohana at Poly, Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian,
and (if you have access there) the Top of the World at Bay Lake Tower.

Actually, you may be turned away. Both east and west ends of the beach will be affected by construction and the available area will be much less. There have already been reports of people without resort keys bring turned away on some nights and this may well become more common when the pool construction begins end of July. There are also reports out of the Poly that after the construction of the pool and DVC that the main beach will be gated and accessible only by room key. One design of the new pool I've seen most likely would require this if pool access is to be fenced and by key access. Disney has said that would happen with all pools as they are refuted.mtgis one's wait and see.

The best advice is to wait and see what the reports are once the pool refurb starts.

We were down in May and Luau beach was still wide open for viewing with no resort staff in evidence. The view isn't obstructed by anything and shouldn't be during the course of construction. It's not straight on like other viewing spots, but is still quite nice.
