I can't believe I am even writing this...FInally booked FQ, after much confusion on where to stay. I am sure even some of you have seen my posts :rotfl2:...

Tonight my DS12 comes up to me and says maybe we should stay at another resort. Background, he was his friends house and they are staying at 2 different resorts this Fall.

We have stayed Poly past 2 years in a row. I love POLY. But I think what I love most about POLY is the monorail...Resort is pretty, but IMO pool is too small, and rooms need a renovation well they have probably in the past 8 years. SO glad they started now...

We also stayed YC many years ago maybe 8 years ago. DS has sensitive skin and got a bad rash from the sand. But he was also 4 and sat for long periods in the shallow area and played in the sand with DH and myself. We do go to the ocean every year as well, and he still gets the rash but not like he used to...

IS THE POOL AT BC/YC STILL VERY SANDY? AND DO YOU NOTICE THE SAND WHILE SWIMMING IN IT???

Also the Boardwalk, tell me about it...

I remember the BC/YC not having a CS restaurant. I do recall going at night to the store and buying stuff. DO they now sell pizza or anything like that, say around 11pm?

Also at BC do all the rooms have balconies??

How are the busses? What other hotels do you share with??

Please give me strong thoughts on your favorite and why???

I can't believe this indecisive mom is now the parent of an indecisive son :rotfl2:

It really makes no difference to me to pay more or to switch resorts. Although won't lie. We arrive in Florida on a Friday staying at inlaws on Pine Island, then on Tuesday drive to FQ, then thought about doing a split stay and going to new resort that Friday. I guess it will force me to keep a clean room and stay organized. :wizard:

Do we go back to Poly, try BC, or try Boardwalk????

Thank you for helping :flower3:

yes the main pool has sand in it.
the quiet pools do NOT.

don't make lightly of his rash - it could be allergy and those things can kill you.
what is happening where you can see it - can also be taken inside him.

if it is an allergy then antihistamine might help.

the pool has quick service. bc has market place also for qs.
that say would go at least once to beaches and cream it can be fun.

bw has nothing - at least right now - once the rehab is done on the pool bar it will have qs.

We were Polynesian addicts and always enjoyed our stays there . but
the last 2 trips I've stayed at Boardwalk and it's my new fav resort.

My 2 DD are in college so we spend more time in Epcot. My younger DD loves Studios
where you can walk or talk the boat.

I'm going to throw a different resort in here.... how about the WL? We've done the Poly, Yacht and Beach Club both but our heart likes the MK best.... Never stayed at BW, nor want too, just don't care for the area and its layout....but if I had to do that area, Y&B for sure.... For us the pool is just too overcrowded and closes too early.

WL pool is open all night, über one roof, boat ride to the MK and cheaper rate than any other deluxe in area.... Check it out

We've stayed at both the Poly and BC and while we did love the BC and loved being within walking distance to Epcot and DHS, our favorite is the Poly. SAB is fun, but it is very sandy, so if that is a concern, it might be best to choose a different resort. For quick serve items, the BC has the Marketplace which is located at the back of the BC gift shop. It offers limited grab-n-go items, but is not like those of the other deluxe resorts. Some rooms at the BC have full balconies, while others have a standing "Juliet" balcony, so a full balcony would be a request but is not guaranteed. As far as the buses, I think those are hit or miss. When we stayed at the BC, the buses were shared among all 5 resorts (and we were there during a pretty busy time). We didn't mind the waiting for a bus, but by the time one got to the BC, it was full with standing room only. With that said, others have reported the buses only sharing between the BC & YC, so that is something you really wouldn't find out until you're there. We haven't stayed at BWI so I can't comment on that resort, but it is one resort we want to try. All 3 are beautiful resorts and you really can't go wrong with any of them, but if the sand at SAB would pose a problem for your DS, I would go with BWI or go back to the Poly. Good luck.

I think after our breakfast talk while he ate his Trix before school, :rotfl2:. We are leaning tower POLY again...He does prefer MK still so that just makes sense. I think from the more people I hear on here, that Epcot resorts might be the way to go when he is older...

I need to decide by tonight, so anymore feedback is appreciated...and to those who commented thank you.:flower3:

I do agree with you 100% about WL...However, I am from the Midwest and we have many waterpark resorts that are almost exactly like WL...So because of that I want to have a different theming. Check out "The Wilderness" in Wisconsin Dells, you would be amazed at the similarities...

If it were to have a more tropical theming I do think it would be my favorite, I do like the location, price is best, and all under one roof...
