Here's my dilema - We are two adults, 1 ds-15, 1dd-13. I am seeing answers to previous questions about the bathrooms at the Poly, and have concerns.

If there is not a separate sink, mirror, hairdryer area - (from the shower) - how difficult is it for four of us to get out of the room?! I know that the room size is large, but how can one of us be in the shower and others be doing hair of makeup things?

I can't belive I am the only one panicking about this!:rotfl: Previously we stayed at POR and FQ, and they even have a curtain dividing the room from that sink area! That was the BEST! And at the Boardwalk the closet was soooo enormous I even got dressed in there each day. With teenage kids, 1boy,1girl - privacy is an issue (me too)

PLEASE HELP!!!! jane

Hi. I was in Raratonga longhouse in March and our bathroom was shower/tub beside a single sink and commode was around the corner from that. Year before that, also in Raratonga and it was same configuration.
In Tahiti longhouse several years ago we had 2 sinks but everything was still in one room.
I can see that it will be tricky for your family. I usually travel alone with DD and so for us it is easy. Good luck.

Here is a pic from allearsnet. You can see the commode on the bottom right.

Sorry, the Poly and the CR resorts were built back in the early 70's before hotels/motels started putting the vanities outside of the main bathroom.

A couple of suggestions that worked for us . . .

Have some people shower before bed and some shower in the morning. This reduces the amount of time in the morning when you are trying to get ready to leave. We have brought a tension rod and our own curtain to create a makeshift "dressing room" in the hallway for the evening showers to get dressed in the morning with some privacy, without having to be in the bathroom. We also move the hairdryer (when possible) out of the bathroom, so that one person can be showering while the first is finishing up.

Have breakfast foods in the room, so you can combine the breakfast and get ready time. You can save a lot of time this way and hit the parks ready to have fun. If you combine this with suggestion number one, you can really be ahead of the game.
